Back at Dominican, when the chickas shared their dorm room, they'd be typing away at their computers most of the time. Well, it was because they were THAT bored, but also because there wasn't much else to do. Yahoo messenger and AIM were constantly open and running. Both would talk to friends from home, or Scoot and Steven, or their boyfriend (whomever that happened to be at the time :)). Y'all must be thinking, 'oh, that sounds normal...for a change!' Well, we haven't mentioned that when the girls were bored enough, they'd message each other. Ok, so not just when they were bored....but when their door was open and they wouldn't want to say something aloud. Ok, ok, ok....so not just when their door was open....they'd talk to each other on the messengers....a lot.
Now we're sure y'all can see where problems with this would arise, especially with these two chickas! For example, if you laugh at someone's comment over the internet, you'd usually type 'lol,' right? Well, the chickas did that for awhile.... While they were sitting about 5 feet away from each other. Jennifer was the first one to realize this....
J: OMG, chicka...we're sitting here, talking on the internet...and we're saying lol...and we can HEAR each other laugh! *starts busting up*
K: Oh man....we have problems. *starts busting up* I can't believe we were doing that!
So, after this time, if either of the chickas said 'lol,' on the internet...to each other...they got laughed at. This was, most of the time, Kelly...because she'd type it unconsciously, and then realize it after. Oh well, we all know that Jennifer got a good laugh out of it, so whatever works, right?!
Moral of the Story: Don't say 'lol' if you're talking to someone on the internet and they happen to be in the same room as you. Most likely, they'll hear you laughing and won't need you to tell them that you're laughing! So, use your common sense, especially if you are talking to someone on the internet, and they're in the same room as you. Don't be like the chickas...PLEASE! Or, if you do have a friend that does that, make fun of them. Get a good laugh on their behalf...why not? :)
