Candied Brandied Cranberries - Preserves - Charlie's Corner


Candied Brandied Cranberries

1-lb bag fresh cranberries
2 cup sugar
4 Tbsp. brandy
Additional sugar

Place cranberries in a dish and look over to eliminate any stray
stems or bad berries. Transfer berries to a shallow baking pan
large enough for berries to lay flat. Sprinkle with 2 cups sugar.

Cover tightly, using double foil if pan doesn't have a lid. Bake
350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool. Stir in brandy and sprinkle with
lightly with additional sugar. Spoon into a handsome glass bowl or
jar and send it on its way.
