Title: Barbecue Ribs, Chicago Style (Made in the Oven)
Categories: Meats, Pork, Barbecue
Yield: 1 Servings

1/2 c Catsup
1 c Barbecue sauce
1/4 c Sugar
2 t Paprika
1/2 t MSG
1/2 c Brown sugar
1/2 c Cider vinegar
1 T Worcestershire
2 t Onion powder
2 lb Country-style back ribs

Bake ribs at 450 degrees for 20 minutes. Pour off fat.
Reduce oven to 300 degrees & cook 30 minutes more.
Meanwhile, mix sauce & simmer over low heat for 30
minutes. Drain ribs & cover with sauce. Cook another
hour, basting every 15 minutes.

Note added 13 May 2004:

I have been asked how I get my ribs so tender, the answer
is real easy, simply remove the skin on the back (or the bone
side) of the ribs. It is a thin membrain on the back of the ribs,
I use a knife to get it started then just pull off the skin,
before cooking or grilling. If I am smoking them in a cold Smoker
I leave the skin on untill I get ready to cook them.
Hope this helps.

Charlie
