Charlie's Peach Cobbler

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 cup Original Biskquick
1 cup Milk
1/2 cup Butter or margarine -- melted
1/2 teaspoon ground fresh nutmeg
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon -- or to taste
1/4 teaspoon Lemon juice (real Lemon)
1/2 cup Sugar -- or 3/4 cup, to taste
1 can (29 ounces)sliced peaches * -- Drained, Reserve

* 2 cups of fresh or frozen (thawed and drained) peaches can be used insted.

Pre heat Oven to 375 deg. F. .
Stir together Bisquick, and milk into a batter, pour into a ungreased square 8"
X 8" X 2" baking dish.
Stir in melted butter until blended. Place drained peaches into a mixing bowl, add nutmeg, cinnamon, Lemon Juice
and sugar.
Let peaches make a syrup. (may need to add about 1/8 cup of reserved peach juice)
Spoon the peaches and syrup over the batter.
Bake 50 - 60 minutes or until golden.
