----------------------CHOCOLATE SAUCE----------------------

1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Apple juice
2 tb Cocoa
1/4 c Water
2 ts Butter
1/2 ts Vanilla

4 sl Packaged angel food cake
2 lg Nectarines; sliced
4 sm Double-pronged skewers OR Bamboo skewers
Non-stick cooking spray

Chocolate sauce: Mix together sugar, apple juice and
cocoa. Whisk in water. Bring chocolate sauce to a
boil over medium-low heat. Continue cooking and
whisking constantly for only 1 minute. Remove pan from
heat and mix in butter and vanilla.
Cool and serve sauce at room temperature.

Kabobs: Soak bamboo skewers, if used, in water
briefly and drain.
Cut cake into 1" pieces. Thread skewers with
nectarine slices and angel food cake.
Spray a grill rack and place it on grid over
ashen-hot coals. Grill kabobs about 5 minutes or until
hot, turning frequently.
To serve, spoon chocolate sauce on each dessert
plate. Set kabobs over sauce.
