Ranma ˝: Year Two

Part One: The Wedding Date
Our story picks up about two weeks before the coming school year. Everyone is talking about the coming school year as it will be the last year there for most of the characters. Nabiki and Kuno are set to go to Southern Nerima University. Nabiki somehow tricked Kuno into paying for her tuition. The Saotome residence has been rebuilt and Nodoka and Genma have moved in, much to Genma’s dismay. Ranma is still staying in the Tendo Dojo, so he can be with Akane (it wasn’t his idea).
The Saotomes and Tendos are all sitting around the table enjoying their dinner. Ranma and Akane are arguing…big surprise!!
Ranma: What d’ ya mean its all my fault!?!?
Akane: It is your fault, if Kodachi and Shampoo hadn’t ruined it, we’d be married…
Ranma: Them? What about Kuno? He showed up too y’ know!!
Akane: Yeah, so what…he was more interested in his pigtailed-goddess anyway…
Ranma: That’s because…when I’m a girl…I have a much better figure than you do!!
Akane: Ranma!! You jerk!!!
Akane picks up the table and slams Ranma over the head with it. Everyone sweatdrops.
Genma: (sighs) Yet another dinner ruined by those two bickering.
Kasumi: Father, would you like me to order something…
Soun: (glares at Ranma) Sure, Kasumi, I’m sure one of Ranma’s fiancés would be glad to give us something to eat.
Ranma is lying on his back and Nodoka has brought him a wet rag.
Nodoka: Oh my poor son, why do you need to treat Akane like that?
Ranma: (moans and wakes up) ‘Cause she’s an uncute tomboy!
Nodoka: (slaps him) Ranma!! Treat Akane with respect!!
Among the streets of Nerima, we see a very exhausted Ryouga headed towards the Tendo Dojo.
Ryouga: I’m back again, how long has it been?
Ryouga flashes back to Ranma and Akane’s wedding, Ryouga is seen leaving town again…
Voice: Ryouga-sama!!!
Ryouga: Huh? (snaps out of his daze) Oh, hi Akari.
Akari: Oh sweetie, I’ve missed you so much…
Ryouga: (not paying attention to her) Akari, could you help me find the Tendo Dojo…it seems as if I’ve been looking for it forever. I’ve decided to make peace with Ranma…
Akari: (To herself) Oh geez…he doesn’t know that Akane and Ranma didn’t get married yet…
Akari: Uh sure…It’s that building at the end of the street (points)
Ryouga: (Looks down the street) Thanks Akari…
Akari: (To herself) Its ok Ryouga…I’ll still wait for you…my darling…
Back inside the dojo Genma, Nodoka, and Soun confront Ranma and Akane…
Soun: Ok you two, we’ve come to a decision…We’ve decided that the two of you WILL BE MARRIED before this school year starts
Ranma and Akane look at one another
Genma: (Looking at Ranma) That’s right my boy…we’ve decided that you two have had plenty of time to settle your fiancé problems…
Ryouga is seen running towards the dojo. An elderly woman accidentally splashes him with water while watering her garden.
Ranma: Geez pop…you guys do know that only gives us a couple of weeks, right?
P-chan runs into the room and jumps into Akane’s lap.
Kasumi: (peeking in) He seemed really anxious to get in…I hope you don’t mind.
Akane: P-chan!!! Where have you been!?!?!
Nodoka: Ok, you two, its time to prepare for the wedding…
P-chan seems upset and glares at Ranma. Genma, Soun and Nodoka leave the room.
Akane: What’s the matter P-chan, are you ok?
P-chan runs off towards the bathroom, changes himself back into Ryouga and gets dressed. He runs back into the room Ranma and Akane are in.
Akane: Hey Ryouga, haven’t seen you for a while…
Ranma: (Under his breath) Sure you did, the little porker was just here a second ago…
Akane: Ranma, did you say something?…Nevermind, Ryouga did you see P-chan run by you?
Ryouga: Uh…no Akane…but I have some news I have to tell you…I’m going to go to Furinkan High this year.
Akane: That’s wonderful Ryouga…maybe we can walk to school together…Ranma isn’t that great of company.
Ryouga and Akane start laughing. Ranma looks away.
Ranma: So Ryouga, where are you planning on staying…you’ll never make it to school from your house…well not on time anyway, you’ll probably get lost…
Ryouga: Ranma!! Mind your own business!!
Akane: Don’t mind him, it’s the least we can do…you can stay in Nabiki’s room…she’s leaving for college anyway!
Ryouga: Thanks Akane, are you sure?
Ranma starts steaming with anger.
Akane: Sure it’ll be fine…
Ranma: Hey!! Don’t you care what I think…you know this guy has tried to kill me on numerous occasions.
Akane: Oh Ranma, shut up!!
Twenty minutes later Ranma is talking to Soun
Ranma: You can’t be serious about letting Ryouga stay here.
Soun: And why not Ranma? Last time Ryouga stayed here he actually helped out…unlike some freeloading guests I know of…It’ll be nice to have an extra person to help out with Nabiki gone.
Elsewhere Nabiki and Ryouga are talking…
Nabiki: So Ryouga, you plan on staying here and going to school…well that brings your bill to a whopping 3000 yen. I expect that you will pay…well that is unless you want Akane to know your little secret…
Ryouga: Fine…(hands Nabiki 300 yen)…this is all I have…
Nabiki: That will do for now…however I expect payment next time I come home (She smiles wickedly)
Akane walks into the room that Ranma and Soun are talking in
Ranma: Well then…I’m not gonna marry that tomboy, until Ryouga moves out!!
Soun and Akane: Ranma!!!!
Akane punches Ranma in the face
Soun: Fine then, we will schedule the wedding for the end of the coming school year…then there will be no more excuses…
Ranma: I don’t know…I mean I might find someone cuter by the time school is out…
Everyone: Ranma!!!
Everyone beats Ranma to the ground
Ranma: Some family…
