As sunrise dons it's amber head
I still lay trembling in my bed,
Your deep red lips still in my head
I dream the dream my tears have shed.
Your gossamer strands of golden gleams
Do bind and weave my sweetest dreams,
Yet all can't be just what it seems,
Only an angel's smile so beams.
I see your eyes most every night
Like placid pools of sunset's light,
As I lay still in rich delight,
Beautiful lure I cannot fight.
My quite desperation wants
An end to all your beauty's taunts,
For like a ghost your face still haunts
All of my heart's most dearest wants.
I cannot wait till you are mine
So I can see your brilliant shine,
Drink from your lips the reddest wine,
You in my arms would be divine.
For now my hopes and dreams will fly,
I think of you and give a sigh,
And I will always wonder why
This poet's heart was made so shy.
