Q:WHERE ARE WE GOING? A: In 2010 we will be going to Savannah, Georgia!. Q: WHEN ARE WE GOING? A: Chicas of Faith 2010 will be in the Spring. Final dates pending. Q:WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? A: Our itinerary will be filled with morning and evening mandatory group activities, and optional outings Mostly, we'll be relaxing, praising God, and hanging with the Chicas. Q: DO WE HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES? A: No you do not HAVE to participate in the optional activities we have scheduled - they are optional. You can choose to stay at home, or make other arrangements for your free time. However, resources and budgeted monies will be geared to making the Chicas schedule possible. Q: HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED BEHIND THE SCENES? A:Thanks for asking! A lot goes into making these vacations a reality and we love for others to experience the joy of ownership that we receive when planning and arranging! Look for the volunteer opportunities link in the coming weeks to see what you can do to get involved. Q: HOW MUCH SHOULD I SAVE? A: Depending on your airfare and the choices you make about optional excursions, souvenirs and meals out - you could safely set aside $400 - $700 for your trip. We try as hard as we can to keep that on the lower end of the spectrum. Q: WHAT'S UP WITH THE "GIFTING"? A: Some of us choose to bring a small gift for each of the Chicas in the group. Please don't feel pressured in any way to do this, but if you DO decide to bring a gift, please run it by Judi or Amber so we can be sure there are no duplicates. We will happily fill any request to remove items from the Chicas of Faith merchandise shop that have been purchased as giftings for fellow Chicas! Q: WHAZZUP WITH THE DEVOTIONS? A: We have sign-ups for giving morning and evening devotions. If your palms are starting to sweat at the mere reading of this, fear not. We of COURSE will not make anyone do anything that makes them throw up. However, before you opt out, be sure to pray and ask God if He'd like to stretch you a bit and use you in a way you never imagined, (And do you REALLY want to sit through Amber and Judi EVERY morning and EVERY night??) Q: CAN I INVITE A FRIEND? A: We have already completed the guest lilst for 2010 and slots for Chicas of Faith are by invitation only, however, we also know that God makes the guest list for all the Chica Adventures, and we don't want to limit His plans. That being said, we're open to pray about suggestions for more Chicas to the 2011 group. . You can get the form here. Q: CAN I SUGGEST CHICA LOCATIONS AND ACTIVITIES? A: Of course you can! The final choices of destination and activities are made by your cruise directors, and posted before you pay out even a dime so that you can make an informed decision about whether it's the trip for you or not. Keeping that in mind, we always want to hear what you're interested in so we can add it to our prayer time! Some factors to consider when thinking of Chicas of Faith retreats are; cost of airfare, cost of lodging, will we need a rental car, etc - We like to try to keep the cost of Chica vacations around $400 per person (which usually includes airfare,lodging,rental, and some meals) |
