| Chapter 27: Insecurity Finally Lindell talked to Beyonce. It was at lunch. Kelly had taken every one but Lindell and Beyonce out to eat. Lindell and beyonce were each eating in different places. She was in her dressing room, and he was in Kelly's. Both of the doors were open, and Kelly's was right across the hall from Beyonce's. "We might as well eat together," Lindell said. Beyonce looked up, surprised he'd talked to her. He got up and went into the room she was in. She was eating fried chicken and he was eating a sub sandwhich. He sat on the chair beside her. The chairs faced the mirror that had light bulbs above it. They both were looking at eachother in it. "Look B, I'm sorry," he said. "You're sorry?!" Beyonce exclaimed. "I should be sorry. I'm lucky I got friends like Chelle and Kelly who got you to go on tour with us, cuz I really don't deserve you," "No...I should have been more mature about it and talked to you instead of...not talking to you," Lindell said. Beyonce looked away. "Drinkin B?!" He asked her. "That aint you...whats wrong?" "I didn't have you to lean on anymore...so I drank..it made me feel better," Beyonce confessed. "Did it make you feel like I made you feel?" Lindell asked. "No," Beyonce admitted quietly. "Then why did you do it?" He asked. "Cuz I tried to talk to you but--" "--I wouldnt listen," Lindell finished. "I know, I'm sorry," "Don't be, I can't believe I played you like that...and lost your ring!" Beyonce said starting to cry. "I'm really really sorry I lost it. And I'm sorry I was on the third level and Lindell, please just forgive me, please" Lindell got the ring out of his pocket and gave it to her. "Kelly found it...we've had it the whole time.." Lindell said. "Why didnt yall tell me?" Beyonce asked. "I dunno...your sister thought it would teach you to be more responsible if we didnt, but I cant let you do what you're doin to yourself, stop drinkin," Lindell said. "Solange thought it would teach me?" Beyonce asked frowning. "Hmm," she sighed. "Look B," He said putting the ring on her finger. "I understand you made a mistake. We all do," "But I wanna know why you were drinkin in the first place--af the club," Lindell asked. "Cuz..." she began. "Cuz I feel so...so insecure with myself...I keep thinkin I needa please you somehow..." "You don't have to feel that way," Lindell said putting his arm around her. Like always when he did this, she rested her head on his shoulder. "I don't expect anything from you except for you to be you, jus be the Beyonce that I love," He told her. She smiled. "I gotta be honest wit you now baby," he said. "You not bein you, I know you and you aint like this, you dont drink," "I'm sorry," she said closing her eyes. He was watching her in the mirror. "C'mon..lets take a nap before you go to your soundcheck," he said. "ok," she sighed already half asleep. "Wait wait wait don't fall asleep on me," Lindell said picking her up. She laughed sleepily and they walked to the couch. He half sat half lay on the couch and she sat beside him and layed her head on his chest. She fell asleep to what she'd been longing to hear, the steady beating of his heart telling her he'd always be there for her. He put his arm around her and they both were asleep when the others got back. "Looks like they made up!" Solange observed. "They're so cute," Michelle gushed. They laughed a little. "Shh," Kelly said. "Don't wake 'em up, you got a camera Chelle?" "Ooh!! Yeah!!" Michelle whispered excitedly. She went to her dressing room and got one. "Turn the flash off," Solange whispered. They took pictures of Lindell and Beyonce sleeping. "This'll be good.." Solange said mischieviously. |
