| Chapter 24: Not So Perfect Beyonce strayed at Lindell's house to recouperate for about a week and then she was back into the public eye, but this time, with Lindell. Everyone wanted to interview them, word was now out about their engagement and the words "Beyonce has a Fiance" were everywhere. Beyonce's happiness was obvious to everyone who saw her. She was smiling all the time, it was impossible for her to cover up what she was feeling right now. Everything seemed so perfect to her. Like nothing could possibly go wrong. She now knew she wasnt imagining it when she fell asleep in his arms, and when he held her close to him, so close she could feel his heart beat, so close that she felt the warmth from him shelter her and keep her safe from anything that even tried to debilitate her. The time for her movie the premire came. Lindell went with her as her date. The flashing camera's were no match for the light Beyonce and Lindell seemed to give off. They were hollywoods "perfect" couple. The "too-good-to-be-true" couple. Although everyone, other celebrities and Destiny's Chid fans alike, were very happy for them, they were just waiting for something to go wrong. Because things always went wrong when there was romance in hollywood. The question now was what could possibly go wrong to Beyonce now. After all she'd been through, no one really thought God would put her through something else that would cause her pain. Even though she was happier now, she grew more and more dependent upon Lindell. He took care of her like he did when she was sick even though she was well. It was cute for a while but then the possiblities of a break up suddenly hovered over her and Lindell like a dark storm cloud threatening rain, and Kelly was scared. She was afraid Lindell would leave Beyonce, and Beyonce wouldn't have him to depend on and she wouldnt be able to make it on her own. It was something Kelly didn't want to admit, but now had too. "You comin to bed?" Beyonce asked. She laying in the white "cardboard" feeling sheets of her and Lindell's San Diego suite bed. It was late, the night after the night of the movie premire after party. Lindell was sitting, half covered by the light that shown onto the small table he was sitting at, with his head in his hands deep in thought. Beyonce was tired of him sitting there. She knew that he was mad at her, and she knew that he had the right to be, He didn't answer her. She sighed. "Come to bed baby," she said softly. Her voice was smooth and comforting to him. But he wasnt persuaded. He didn't forgive her for what had happened that night. "Stayin up all night wont get you anywhere, just come to bed," she was begging him now. He didnt answer her or look at her. She gave up. "I gotta get up early...so I'm gonna go to bed now...'night," She rolled over and turned off the light that was on her nightstand. He waited until he heard her deep rythemic breathing before he got in bed with her. He wanted to make sure she was asleep. Once he turned off the light the moon light from the window streaked her sleeping face. He admired her beauty and didnt know how he could be mad at her. He got up and moved the vase that was on the dresser. The engagement ring was behind it. He picked it up and looked at it. He sighed and put it back down. He moved the vase in front of it to hide it.
