Chapter 16: Missing

A couple days later Beyonce met Lindell at the air port. Naturally, the news of their relationship was now out in the open, and everyone was talking about it. But they didn't care.  Beyonce wanted to embrace the happiness she'd found. She didn't care if anyone was watching when she was with Lindell like she had when she was with Jay Z. Because she didn't want to admit she was with Jay Z to the public, or to herself. But now she was with Lindell, and what happened with Jay Z was in the past to her.

The suite in LA was on the beach and the view from the rooms was gorgeous. There were 2 bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen.  One bed was a full sized bed, and one was a king. Beyonce and Lindell slept together in the king, but never did anything more than hugging and kissing when they were in bed. Lindell was allowed on the set of her movie and he supported her. They made promises to each other so that what happened before wouldn't happen again. Beyonce promised to make more time for their relationship, and she balanced her love life with her career life. Lindell promised to be more tolerant of the long hours she worked. It was easier for them since Lindell was with her all the time. The press ate it up, especially when she showed up for interviews for radio and television with him. It seemed he didn't want to leave her side, and she didn't want her to. He was scared he would lose her again.

Pictures of them hugging and kissing in public were everywhere. It was making Jay Z sick because he still wanted her. He called her cell when she was shooting a scene.

"Hello?" she said.

"Hey," Jay Z said.

"Hey, I can't talk right now, I'm doin a scene now, can I call you back later maybe? Once I'm done?" she said.

"Umno what I have to say now is kind of urgent," Jay Z said.

"Oh," Beyonce said signaling for a break.

"Ok, what is it," she said.

"I'm sorry for what I said," Jay Z said.

"Oh. Ok," Beyonce said.
"You in LA now?" he asked.

"Uh-huh," Beyonce said.

"Look, you don't have to keep frontin like you in love wit your ex," He said.

"I aint frontin," Beyonce said.

"C'mon girl," Jay Z said.

Beyonce sighed. "Ok," she began. "The age difference you and me got goin on, I think that's what put a strain on our relationship. You already been though the relationship issues I'm goin through now, and so you deserve to be with some one who's ready to settle down and be in a serious relationship. I wasn't," she said.

"But I don't want somebody else. I want you," he said.

"Well, I got a man," Beyonce said.

"Lindell? Lindell's a boy, he aint a man," Jay Z said.

"Shawn, please, just stop," Beyonce said. "I gotta finish shooting, bye," she said. She didn't even wait for him to say goodbye she hung up.

"Jay Z?" Lindell asked.

She nodded wearily.

A few minutes later Lindell got a call. It was Jay Z.

"You better watch it," Jay Z told him.

"What?" Lindell said.

"You got my girl," Jay Z said.

"She aint yo girl anymore," Lindell said.

"She will be," Jay Z said. They way he said it creeped Lindell out.

A few weeks later it was heard that Jay Z was missing. He wasn't at any of his houses or vacation suites. He'd vanished and no one had seen him since 4 days ago.
