Chapter 13: Silent Hero

The next morning Lindell reminded Beyonce to take her pill. Since the breakdown, her body had stopped making a chemical it needed. The pill provided that chemical until she could make it on her own. If she didn't take the pill, the lack of the chemical resulted in violent mood swings like when Lindell and her family had first recognized her sickness.

She was about to take the pill until the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it" she said.

"aight," Lindell said.

It was Jay Z.

"Hey," He said.

"Hey," she said.

"This your ex house aint it?" Jay Z said.

"So?" she said.

"You didn't listen to me." He said.

"So now you own me?" Beyonce asked.

"No but I would think you'd be faithful to me after all I've done for you," He said.

"You mean gave," Beyonce said. Lindell heard her getting mad and came to the door. He stood behind her and she didn't notice.

"The jewelry and the vacation were nice. They were. But that's not what I needed." She continued.

"Oh so I spend this much money on you and you go sleep around with your ex. I didn't think you were that shallow," he said.

"Shallow?!" Beyonce exclaimed getting ready to do something. Lindell put his hands on her shoulders.

"B..B" he said trying to calm her.

"Get off of me," she said. Her voice wasn't harsh.

"Forgive her.." Lindell began.

"For what? Being ungrateful?" Jay Z said.

"Ungrateful? I only wanted you to be there for me when I needed you." Beyonce said.

"She hasn't taken her---"Lindell said.

"Medication." Beyonce said angrily. "Medication, Shawn!! I'm on medication because of you! Just go away."

"Fine." Jay Z said. "Fine, I thought you was different, but you jus like all them other gold digger hos"

"No! I aint gon take this from you! I am NOT a gold digger, and you got no right to call me a ho," She yelled. Lindell held on to her hips tightly. She started yelling at Jay Z.

"Really sorry, she's really sorry about that!" Lindell yelled as he went away.

"What do you mean I'm sorry?" Beyonce said once they'd closed the door and she walked away out of Lindell's grasp.

"You just needa take your medicine and calm down baby," Lindell said.

She sighed. He hugged her.

"C'mon now take it," he said. She did.

"You wanna lay down now?" he asked.

"Yeah," she replied.

"Ok, c'mon," he said. She was out of it and he helped her walk to the bed. He lay her down and tucked her in.

"Thank you," she said closing her eyes and breathing heavier.

"Stay with me," she said. "Don't leave this time,"

"I won't," he said.

He ran his fingers though her hair until she fell asleep. When she did he put his head in his hands and sighed not knowing white lie ahead of him in terms of his relationship with her.
