It all started when I joined the Almost Monthly Ocurring Kontest, an art contest. I named my entry "House Girl Miaka". (You can see my drawing at the fan art section of my website.) That was my first entry in an art contest. I was surprised when I received an email from the organizer of AMOK. My entry won a prize in AMOK-19! My prize was sponsored by Anime Castle. I was able to choose from the english translated "How to Draw Manga" books. It really took a few months before I received the book. I was already in despair. I thought that the book I've been waiting for some time is gone forever. After the long time of waiting, I finally got my first how to draw manga book, HTDM: Pretty Girls.
In this How to Draw Manga Corner, I'll feature the HTDM: Pretty Girls and HTDM Vol. 3: Compiling Application and Practice. The second HTDM Book is my friend's book that I borrowed.
