Updates for January 2001

1-28-01 / Night
The Image and Gif Sections are finally up (after some exhaustive copying and pasting of links and writing descriptions for each one). Plus, I got my online access back, so updates may appear more frequently than they had for the last month. I'm quite proud of myself because I solved the problem all by myself. My com first reverted back to only 2 colors and 16 colors and only allowed me 600 X 800 screen resolution (which obviously stinks), but I manages to restore things back to what they were in addition to reinstalling a modem driver etc. through the help of my System Restoration/Win 98 CDs and the Universal Boot Disk. I first lost my audio when I got by net capabilities back, but I fixed that as well by downloading and installing an appropriate sound driver from Microsoft's download site. The only thing that's plaguing me now is my Internet Explorer capabilities (I used to be able to download files linked through the use of CGI scripting but I cannot now). One thing I learned from all this is that you are on your own in life and no one will help you ... ever; success is your reward.

Anyways, I'm back online and will be updating/revising/adding some sections, so check back.

Happy Chinese New Year!!! for all you Chinese folks out there. Haven't been updating for a while b/c I've got lots o' things to do. And for those of you who liked X-Men the Movie (seems like ancient history now), be sure to watch X-Men on weekdays (4 PM on Fox for me). And although I haven't been watching American DBZ for like half a year now, I've noticed some changes in the Toonami airings. For one thing, a new animation called Outlaw Star is on every weekday at 6:30PM and weeknight at 12:30AM on Cartoon Network. The animation and scenery is much like Gundam (though I have never seen a full Gundam ep before), which means that the animation is A+ quality, but the characters could be drawn better (oh well). The fast paced action scenes and the notion of space bounty hunters appeals somewhat to me, but there are those "icky" love scenes that may appeal to those of you more in touch with your feminine side >_^. I say it's pretty worthwhile.

And as far as CVV goes, there will be infrequent updates, so check back when you want ... if you want... (I just uploaded the Dragonballs section) Later

Those who of you who frequently visit CVV may have noticed that I have not updated much since I was sick with the flu during the Christmas vacation. I'd just like to say that there ARE some things more important than going online. Besides, my computer screwed up recently and I can not go online anymore. I am updating on another com until this problem gets fixed, so updates will be infrequent. When there is one, however, it will be a rather massive one.

Right now, check out the quotes and video games sections for new material. I recently got a mod chip installation into my PSX, which allows me to play Jap imports, in addition to the two worthwhile DBZ PSX games - Legends and Final Bout. So far, the Legends stuff is up and the Final Bout stuff will come up after a month.

I'd just like to say that I recently saw X-Men the movie on tv and man, was it cool. They should have had Gambit also, but I guess it's a good beginning for a trilogy. Wolverine and his claws are simply awesome and Magnito is one of the most interesting characters. Mystique is disposable :)

Oh yeah, I don't get many hits and it doesn't seem like I will ever be able to become one of those sites that gets like a thousand people a day. I know that you guys want mmedia and I am just not the source for that section (don't you guys ever get tired of d/l'ing movie clips and full eps etc?). And it's rather obvious that none of you people care about me or my site. It's a fact that CVV has remained what it was when I first opened it on the net - a means of expressing my attitudes and emotions, something which none of you will ever care about... (In short, I don't need dumb assholes to visit my site and it seems that I have become the only visitor of CVV ... pity).

The world's just populated with filthy ignorant hypocritical morally weak dumbasses who use 4-5% of their brain power and who conform to society's standards without question. It takes courage to be different from the masses, despite ridicule, opposition, and harsh treatment from those who are the walking dead... Take care
