Updates for April 2001
4-30-01 / Night
Changed the look of the entrance page and edited the text on it.
4-29-01 / Morning
Morning updates are rare, but I just felt like doing it. Anyways, I added a new online game and replaced the iconic image link on the menu for the Caps sect.
4-27-01 / Night
Added a link to a cool site with all sorts of DLL files available for d/l. Changed the title of the entrance page. Added some green text on the main page that was motivated by my viewing of a rented version of the cool film The Matrix. Changed the title picture on the entrance page. Deleted the GB question - I can't believe some of you were still voting on that question when I specifically said within the question that I had DELETED the GB, which goes to show that either you guys seriously ODed, cannot read, just want to piss me off -_-, or are just so ignorant that you didn't even notice that the GB link on the menu was removed, along with an update making note of the removal. Man, there are sure a lot of dumbasses in the world. To quote Agent Smith from The Matrix, humankind is like a virus, a disease, that infests a region with no other end than to deplete its resources. Humans are naturally selfish, lacking the motivation to be efficient and often violating the commonly held idea that they are a higher life form. Well, whatever. Fuck you and go to hell. -Later-
4-26-01 / Evening
Changed the midi bgm of this page, the iconic link images on the top frame, replaced "FULL POWER!" and "A Lone Soldier in the Myst of Darkness" with different titles (messages).
4-25-01 / Night
Shut down and deleted the Guestbook despite fact that not close to 200 votes have been collected (I don't give a fuck anymore), replaced some iconic menu links with others, added a new poll question regarding shutting down this site permanently, and Netzero SUCKS ASS!!!
4-23-01 / Evening
Well, I finally cooled off from the heat (if any of you care ^_^). I edited virtually every page on this site largely through the use of tables to make navigation easier and increase the visitor's viewing pleasure (how nice of me despite my low hit volume). I even added some quick links to the top of the Obscure Info page.
4-23-01 / Afternoon
It's hot enough today so naturally, I was kinda agitated today. Thanks to you guys out there who visit my site, I was able to relieve my "stress" as I browsed through my Geocities Site Stats for some of the key pages on my site. It totally shocked me (it's called sarcasm) that my mmedia sects had far more hits than my info sects and pretty much the other sects of the site. I know many of you are empty-headed (yeah so what if this isn't a practical thing for a webmaster to say) and just scroll down the menu searching for your precious mmedia. I'm not downplaying the mmedia sects, but at least look at some of the info that takes several times more time and effort to put up (yeah like you guys are gonna start doin it anytime soon ... and like I care). The Trivia sect stats were humorous as well. As I browsed from the first page through the last page of the Quiz, I noticed a dramatic drop in the number of hits (I was so shocked at this I couldn't move for an entire hour -_-) as the pages progressed. Now I know that many of you out there either OD or for some other reason have short attention spans, but ... eh... nevermind. Also, due to the enormous amount of people who've been signing my Guestbook, I've decided to put up a question on the poll on whether or not I should continue maintaining the overwhelmed GB. As with the midi situation, I'll make a decision as soon as 200 votes have been accumulated.
4-22-01 / Night
Added subdirectories to the Saga Sums sect and the Namek Saga (pre-Ginyu) summary. It's rather long and took considerable effort on my part, so read it if you care at all about this site. At the bottom of the menu, directly below the Song of the Moment, you'll also find a Film of the Moment. I added this tonight after renting out a cool German (but English subbed) movie called Run Lola Run. It's really good so rent it if possible. Also, please continue voting at the poll, paying especial attention to the last question. Thanks. For those of you who care, I managed to sign up with Netzero and Bluelight, both of which are free isp services. Since these two are not as easily undermined as Juno ^_^, I can't even download automatically with Getright now. That means that, even though I've reacquired online access after a brief lull, I will not go online often, since the major reason I go online is to d/l stuff. That also means that updates will be infrequent but rather large when made. -Later-
4-21-01 / Night
Because your household already has multiple free Juno accounts that have been used heavily enough to become subject to usage constraints, you will not be able to create any additional free accounts. If you would like to create additional accounts, you may wish to subscribe to our premium service, Juno Web. This was the message that popped up after I attempted to sign up for my ... let me see ... 30th? Juno free account. Needless to say, I cannot go online anymore, as I don't have any other backup free isp. However, I will make updates, which will be infrequent but rather significant when they are made. This will conserve a great deal of my eyesight, save me a great deal of time from talking to assholes (I mean people) on AIM, and free me from the unbearable experience of viewing the pathetic amounts of traffic my site gets per day. I did add a nice quote to the Keeper's Quotes subsect before going offline, so feel free to check that out. I also added a crucial question at the end of the Chibi Vegeta's Poll (CVV's main poll) regarding the future existence of MIDIs as background music on the site, so please vote. As soon as I get 200 votes (yeah, I know that's gonna take forever), I will make a decision according to the results of the vote. Well, that's all for now. Take care and -Later-
4-21-01 / Afternoon
Added 4 quotes to the Jap quotes subsect, all drawn from the subs on the pics in the uncensored DBZ sect of the Ultimate DBZ Info Site, which has also been linked under the Uncensored DBZ Info category of CVV's Links sect. I also updated the Music Vids sect by noting specifically which vids are offline and which are not. The link to the ever-famous Temple o' Trunks site has been updated. I was rather shocked to learn that the Temple is now hosted by DB Collection. For those of you who don't know the webmaster of DB Collection, he's a real homosexual fag ... but let's not get into that now. (This was quite shocking to me because another good site under the name of Hagemiai is also hosted by that person. For those of you who didn't know, DB Collection used to have a large (and I do mean large) pic of Trunks mooning all visitors with the site's logo stamped on his behind (-_-;;). Although there's a link to that site in my Links subsect, it's only b/c he has a nice movie clips archive. Then there's the two retarded sites DBZ2057 and Dragonball Times Seven which give you Forbidden 403 errors everytime you try to access their site. Amazingly, DBZ2057 is on the top50 of DBTop50 (goes to show you guys that popular sites aren't always members of the chou elite). And by the way, I added a Song of the Moment at the bottom of my menu, which will be updated from time to time as the Keeper experiences shifts in mood and preferences ^_^. Also added a message complimenting on the massive amounts of visitors I get on a daily basis below the InLive counter at the bottom of this page.
4-20-01 / Night
Updated the URLs for various sites in Links sect, noted some "dead links" and sites which appear to be down temporarily.
4-18-01 / Afternoon
Well, I haven't updated for awhile because I was busy with ... stuff, but I did change the entrance pic a few days ago, along with the removal of all topsites except those two on the bottom of the navigation bar. Since I'm getting so few hits, I didn't feel any need to continue membership in any "top sites." In fact, I'm getting so few hits that the thought of renaming the title of my entrance page "Chibi Vegeta's Vault -- So Few Hits No Wonder It's Called Home of the Chou Elite" passed my mind. By this way, this reminds me of the new cjb.net URL I recently signed up for. Now, visitors to the site can come in via any of 4 URLs: piccolodaimao.cjb.net (the extremely old one), chibivegetasei.cjb.net, chouelite.cjb.net (the new one), and geocities.com/chibivegetasei/entrance.htm for those of you who hate to see those annoying webpage loading errors ^_^. I'm also gonna be adding this little countdown to "Liberation" at the bottom of this page when I get around to it. Last night, I had some spare time, so I watched some tapes of the American dubbed season 3 eps. I was chuckling so hard I had to mute the tv and later turn over to watching jap dbz altogether (the grunts, moans, groans, and pansy voicing of the dub are just too funi (funi-funny, get it? -__- if you think that's corny, you should really hear the inaccurate translations and the phrases that they choose to replace the original dialogue, all of which are beyond the designation of "corniness") for me -- funny but unbearable). Then I watched the work of the original VAs, specifically Vegeta powering up before fighting Rikum, and I have to admit I would have stuck with Funi if it hadn't changed its VAs and "composed" some even crappier music. It's all very funny that fate fell upon it to have some wack-ass "company" like Funi in charge of the dub, but oh well. That's one of the sides of my personal life, and I don't really want to share any more now. I'm sure you don't want to listen to anymore rambling anyways...so -later-
4-14-01 / Night
Well, I came back from Pittsburgh after visiting a college and decided to make an update. I thought it would be something minor and not so time consuming, but it turned out to be just the opposite. The menu with all the iconic links is back, but with a new look. I plan to change some of the icons in the near future as well. I edited the CVV Site Stats table on the bottom of this page to suit visitors with 800 by 600 reso and not my personal 1024 by 768 reso (or higher), which is the recommended one, thus eliminating the horizontal scrolling on this page. For those who are interested in my personal life, I found out that i-channel is available in Pittsburgh free of charge, so I'll surely be watching it if I go to college there. Secondly, I caught a glimpse of American Beauty at the end when I was in the hotel. I downloaded the end theme upon returning home and it was great, so dl it for your own pleasure. One thing I don't recommend though, is traveling on Greyhound (if you want to know why, just try going to some distant city for hours on end in a crammy bus). Getting a license and speeding down the interstate highways with freedom to eat where you want when you want is much better ^_^.
4-10-01 / Evening
MyComputer.com just deleted my Guestbook without even warning me beforehand, so now all my 8 (o_o big loss...) GB entries are gone. Sorry to those of you who cared enough about the site sign my GB but I signed up for a new and much more reliable, free GB at Lycos HTML Gear sect. (I was kinda wonderin' why everyone was using that one and not the one hosted by mycomputer... -_-). I certainly hope more of you start signing my GB and voting at the polls (as in plural - 2 polls, the second of which is on the quotes page). Well, that's all for now. -Later-
4-9-01 / Afternoon
I removed a link in the Links sect because it contained some FUNi clips of the Cell Saga and also links to 2 topsites, dragonball100 and dragontop50, the first of which is a hypocritical topsite with lewd content and the latter of which is already linked on the Enter page. One link has been added to the DB News subsect.
4-8-01 / Night
15 DragonBall and 3 Outlaw Star lyrics have been added to the Lyrics sect, bringing the total number of lyrics to 24. Enjoy.
4-7-01 / Night
I changed the look of the CVV Stats box and added 2 quotes to the Special Jap Quotes subsect.
4-6-01 / Night
I changed the layout of the main page of the site into a less graphics-intense one so that those of you with incompetent (i mean slower) modems and browsers can browse CVV with greater ease. Another reason why I changed it was because I felt some of you may have felt it annoying to have to scroll down on the menu in order to go to a particular section. This inconvenience was resolved by the creation of "two" side menus. I also removed links to three low quality "top" sites -_- on my "Entrance" page, namely ani100, anime100, and dragonball100. Many anime song lyrics are on the way as well...
4-5-01 / Night
21 high quality MIDIs added to the Music sect, one new quote taken from Outlaw Star (OLS) ep 15. I also changed the Midi BGM on the Ghost Dog Quotes subsect and removed the one in the US Dub Quotes subsect.
4-4-01 / Evening
10 new quotes are up - 2 from the Keeper of the Vault, 2 from Gladiator, 1 from Toni Morrison, and 5 others drawn from a calculus text that I came across in the summer of 1998 on a trip to HK. |
