VIDEO
PROGRAMMING
With all the newest releases,
Otakon's seven video theaters will be hard to beat. Offering a variety of
anime in all genres, and a full video theater dedicated to excellent live
action films from all of Asia, there is always something for everyone. All
of our theaters offer large projection screens and stereo sound, and seat
a total of more than five thousand people.
PANELS
AND WORKSHOPS
While some may spend the entire convention watching
the latest anime releases, others like to take the rare opportunity a
convention offers to meet the guests, talk to industry professionals, and
participate in classes and workshops. To accommodate them, Otakon offers a
variety of panels and workshops to cover all interests. Workshops include
cel-painting, drawing, music video editing, modeling, voice acting, and
more.
MYSTERY
ANIME THEATER 3000
Labeled a 'must-see' by our members, Otakon's
exclusive hit returns for another thorough trashing of a beloved (snicker)
anime feature. Which one? Well, I'd tell you, but then it wouldn't be a
MYSTERY would it? Crow and Tom Servo guest-star as our crew makes sure
you'll never watch anime the same way again.
THE
MASQUERADE
The highlight of almost any anime convention is its
masquerade and cos-play. Our fifth masquerade is shaping up to be
our largest and most lavish yet, with improved sound and lighting for a
better experience by all. We encourage everyone to make a costume of
their favorite anime character and participate in the cos-play. The
Masquerade will be held Saturday evening.
SHALL WE
DANCE?
Due to the overwhelming demand of our members,
Otakon will once again feature late night dances on Friday and Saturday
nights, featuring a mix of anime, dance, techno, and J-POP to dance the
night away.
KARAOKE
This year we're trying something different once
again. Karaoke has proven so popular we are giving it its own room!
Scheduled for blocks of time throughout the weekend, stop by and belt out
your favorite anime tunes. Music and lyrics will be provided, though
you are welcome to provide your own as well. CD, MD (minidisc) or
audio cassettes are all acceptable.
ANIME
MUSIC VIDEO SCREENING and CONTEST
Two great things that go great together--anime and
music. This icon of the modern age has been adopted by the technophilic
anime fan for the enjoyment of all otakudom. funny, serious, and
adrenaline-inducing anime music videos will be screened and then voted on
for recognition and prizes. You may never listen to anime the same way
again.
VIDEO
GAMING
Otakon continues to lead the way with the largest
anime convention video gaming room anywhere. We have more systems
available playing the latest imports, hot domestic titles, and all the
anime-based games we can find. Tournaments will be held both Friday and
Saturday, with prizes awarded to the top finishers.
GAME SHOW
Here's your chance to flaunt your knowledge of
obscure anime trivia in fierce competition for tacky prizes. Bring
your thinking cap and your laughing Buddha 'cause you're gonna need all
the help you can get. A sleeper hit in 1999, the game show is back
with a vengeance. Care to be it's first victim

I have short brown hair green eye's and I'm a tiny bit above average for a 10 year old . My eldest sister will dressed up as Miaka from Fushgi Yuugi .
