DISCLAIMER: I don't own Cardcaptor Sakura. I am just a POOR fan.... WARNINGS/NOTES: Umm...if you didn't read the first part, you better do so. And it is long...it took a week or two to write...-_- There might be some mild cursing and mush...I ain't sure...depends on my mood. Anyhoo, enjoy! Now to the fic! After getting up, Tomoyo nervously followed Nakuru-san downstairs to breakfast, where she assumed Eriol-kun would be. She stuffed her hands into her pockets to try to hide their shaking. Tomoyo, not paying attention, took a misstep on one of the stairs and started to fall downwards, head first. She let out a silent gasp, fearing the worst as she shut her eyes as tight as could be. Tomoyo heard a swoosh! adn fell against something soft. Tomoyo slowly opened her eyes to find herself in Ruby Moon's arms, and quite close to his chest as well. Tomoyo, speechless, could only gape at the magical being. 'I was never this close before....they truly are magnificent!' Ruby Moon chuckled, placing lightly placing Tomoyo back onto her feet after walking down the remaining steps. Tomoyo took a step back as Ruby Moon took on his false form again, amazed. Nakuru giggled at Tomoyo, then grabbed the girl's hand and skipped into the kitchen, dragging along and astounded Tomoyo. ********** Tomoyo could only follow stupidly as Nakuru led her towards another room by her wrist, skipping merrily, with Tomoyo stumbling to keep her balance. Nakuru burst into the kitchen, Tomoyo in tow. "G'morning, Eriol-chan! I brought Tomoyo down to eat with us!" Nakuru chirped. Eriol, in an apron and chef's hat, turned around, a smile on his face. "Ah, good moring Nakuru-san, Tomoyo-san. I trust you slept well, Tomoyo-san?" Tomoyo, flustered, could only look at the ground. "Y-yes....arigoto, Eriol-kun....I'm sorry for the inconvience." "Nonsense!" Eriol replied, a note of joy to his voice. "You are always welcome here. You are my friend. I am just sorry for your....experiences....yesterday. If I could I would have spared you from them." Tomoyo looked up. "No, Eriol-kun...it's OK...Thank you for coming to save me." Eriol glanced at Tomoyo, his eyes sliding shut as he smiled yet again. "Of course, Tomoyo-san." Tomoyo walked towards Eriol. "Can I help?" "Sure," he replied. "Can you help Nakuru set the table?" Tomoyo nodded and went over to Nakuru's side to help with setting the table for breakfast. ********** "Ahhh......That was good, Eriol-kun," Tomoyo breathed. "You are a good cook. I could get used to this!" Eriol chuckled. "Arigoto, Tomoyo-san. You're very kind. Now, how about we go for a walk in the park?" Tomoyo, Nakuru, and Suppi-chan cheered. ********** Eriol and Tomoyo were strolling side by side, watching Nakuru chasing Suppi-chan. Tomoyo sighed happily. She felt safe with Eriol by her side and she didn't get out as much as she used to anymore... Tomoyo threw her arms over her head, a few steps ahead of Eriol. She had work to do at home, but Eriol had insisted that she stay until her wound was completely healed. She sighed. She had given in too easily to his smile and cheerfulness. Not that she minded - she didn't really want to be home...ALONE....after being attcked by the three guys and prositiure people. Tomoyo, musing in her own thoughts, didn't notice Eriol calling out her name. She was so preoccuppied, she didn't notice the approaching bicyclist.... Eriol grabbed Tomoyo and pulled her out of the bicyclist's way as he rode by. Tomoyo lost her balance at the unexpected tug and fell against Eriol, knocking the two over on top of the grass. Tomoyo immediately turned red and flustered, pulling herself off of Eriol's chest. "I'm sorry, Eriol-kun!!" Eriol just chuckled and got up, standing next to Tomoyo, brushing himself off. "It's OK, Tomoyo-san. Are you hurt?" Tomoyo shook her head, to embarrassed to speak. She turned and took a few steps away from Eriol. Eriol laughed again, walking towards Tomoyo to assure her that he was alright. *****FLASHBACK FOR TOMOYO***** Tomoyo wasn't looking where she was going, all she knew was that she was late for class and had better hurry her butt up and get there. Tomoyo felt anxiousness growing in the pit of her stomach; she had never been late before, but she had woken up late that day. As she was running, Tomoyo crashed into another girl, and the two fell to the ground, Tomoyo landing on top. Tomoyo gasped audibly, getting up off the girl and offering her hand to help the other up. "Gomen gomen!!" The girl took Tomoyo's hand and got up, smiling. "It's OK. I'm not hurt. Are you? No? Good! Are you late as well? I am always running late! Oh, by the way, my name's Sakura. What's yours?" Tomoyo replied, "My name's Tomoyo. Nice to meet you, Sakura. I'm sorry for crashing into you! I panicked....I am never late but it seems that that will change today." "That's OK," Sakura giggled. "They don't get that mad at you on the first offense. What room are you going to?" "Forty-five. You?" "Wow, cool! I just got transferred into that class today!" "Kawaii!" "Let's go together, Tomoyo. I have the feeling that we are going to be great friends!" "...OK, Sakura, let's go!" And the two took off sprinting for their homeroom at breakneck speed. *****END OF TOMOYO'S FLASHBACK***** Before Eriol could place his hand on Tomoyo's shoulder, she spun around and stared at him, and he noticed that she was crying. "Tomoyo-san?" Eriol asked, dumbfounded. Before Eriol could utter another word, Tomoyo clutched her hands at her chest a split-second before letting out a heart-wrenching sob and spinning around to run off. "Tomoyo!" Eriol shouted, unable to decide if she needed time to be alone or if he should follow her. Eriol pondered what to do a second before running off after Tomoyo. ********** Tomoyo, after running away from Eriol for a few minutes, looked over her shoulder and spied Eriol still following her. She couldn't run for very much longer, but didn't want to face his questions right now. Tomoyo, gasping for breath and crying at the same time, turned violently and headed into the maze. Once inside, she took many twists and turns before she was sure that she was lost and that Eriol wouldn't find her for awhile and dropped to her knees at a deadend, sobbing uncontrollably. Tomoyo brought her knees to her chest and peeked above them, tears coursing down her eyes visibly. She was wracked with sobs and didn't try to stop. 'Sakura-chan! I miss you so much! Why did you have to leave me alone and move to Hong-Kong with Li-kun? God Sakura, I miss your smile, your very presence. Why? Why did you leave me alone with no one? Don't you care anymore? You hardly call or write...I know that people move on, but please, not like this! I need you! I can't be without you anymore! Everyday is just a struggle to make it to night! It's been five years, and I still can't move on. Please, I want to see you again, to be with you. I miss you so much...I love you Sakura-chan, so how can I let you go?' Tomoyo continued to sob, hiding her face from the world behind her knees. Even in the past, she had always hidden her pain, her hurt, her anger behind her smiles. Her pain and hurt and anger that Sakura had chosen Syaoran over her, that her friend had written or called like she promised to, that she was so very alone. 'I will die,' Tomoyo thought sadly, 'as I was born. Alone.' Tomoyo stood up, only to start crying again and falling against the side of the maze, crouching beside it's edges, sobbing with no end to the tears she shed. 'I know you're happy now, and that I should be, because your happiness is mine, but I just can't be! I can't be happy with you forgetting about me! My pain, my hurt, my anger, you don't know any of them. You don't want to be my friend anymore, you have a life of your own...Sakura-chan, I miss you so much I can't explain.' Tomoyo sobbed against the maze's wall for a few more minutes before quieting and standing up. She took a few wobbly steps before falling down onto her knees again, hanging her head in shame and hurt. 'I fell on top of Eriol-kun....it was just like the time I met you...It was so alike, it overwhelmed me...I couldn't hide the pain anymore. Sakura, please call or come visit soon, I still love you.' Tomoyo wiped her tears away with the back of her hand, getting up once more. She slowly started to walk back towards the way she came, and collided with Eriol, who immediately gripped her upper arm. "Tomoyo!" he cried. "Are you OK?!" "Yes," Tomoyo replied tiredly. "I am fine, just a little bit frazzled." Eriol, perhaps understanding, just put his arm around Tomoyo's shoulders and slowly led her out of the maze. Tomoyo stifled cries, thinking them weak, when Eriol stopped walking and placed his hands on her shoulders, looking into her eyes. "Tomoyo-san...." Eriol whispered. "It is not bad to cry, it is a healing and release that you need. I have cried on your shoulder in my grief over Kaho, and I know that you love Sakura-san. I am here for you, to help you through the bad times just like you were there for me. So, when you have to cry, sob with all of your being. I will be here for you, OK?" Tomoyo's eyes brimmed with tears, hiccuping every now and then with suppressed sobs. Tomoyo nodded, burying her head into Eriol's neck. It was odd actually; her form fit perfectly against his. They were both just the right size for one another. Too bad both were so blind that neither saw what was needed to see. To be continued..... NOTES: Wha ha ha! This chapter was MUCH shorter....I didn't want to put Hikari through that again. There are consequences, such as this story will be longer due to the cutting down of the chapters, but will that really matter? I'm diving into the story at a good pace...anyhoo, comments? Questions? Suggestions? I'll read anything, but if you make a dumb suggestion, then prepared to be laughed away to shame. :P by Eriol |
