I like spewing out my thoughts on my favorite couples so if you don't like the random musing, then you know, you can always click that fancy arrow on the top left corner of your browser. For Yoh x Ren [Shaman King]: Oh great, I'm overly-obsessed with this now. *sigh* Hooray for the unpopularity! *curses HoroRen* It's not that I hate HoroRen, it's just that there's so many fics of them on ff.net and I just don't think it's cute. Maybe there's a lot of hints in the manga, but I'm only up to Volume 4. *curses Shounen Jump* Anyway, I guess I became in love with this couple when I read an evilly good fic. *curses fic in a good way* And y'all know I like rivalry-ai. ^^ BTW, I consider myself as one of the true YohRen fans who doesn't just like YohRen as a side pairing and/or be able to like/love HoroRen or HaoRen at the same time. YohRen is my absolute favorite Mankin pairing and nothing can replace it in my heart. Anyhoo, I really want to write a fic for them, but I'd prolly be a disgrace to those authors who write YohRen masterpieces, so... *tumbleweed* Sasuke x Naruto [Naruto]: Surprised how I'm not entirely obsessed with it anymore. I guess 'cuz I over-obsessed it maybe? I hate summer obsessions. Anyway, SasuNaru will still be in my heart 'cuz I still think it's the cutest Naruto pairing ever. ^_^ Yami no Yuugi x Yuugi [Yuugiou]: This is the first piece of floating romance I caught when I was first watching Yuugiou. Then for a while, I started to doubt it, thinking that their bond was only platonic. I guess it's Yami no Yuugi's tears (during the Doom season) that made me realize I liked it again. Noa x Mokuba [Yuugiou]: Despite the fact that Noa's always taking advantage of Mokuba, I feel they make a very sweet couple. Besides, Mokuba helped Noa realize that he's a human again. "I'm a human, not a machine." *weep* Palletshipping (Shigeru/Gary) x Satoshi/Ash) [Pocket Monsters]: Palletshipping was my first fav. shounen-ai couple. When I still liked Pokemon a lot, I went ga-ga over palletshipping. Gee, I wonder why. Whatever reason it is, I still find it adorable (Especially when Ash defeated Gary in the Silver Convention ^^;). Ranko (Onna-Ranma) x Ryouga [Ranma 1/2]: I always liked them as a couple before I started reading fics. But once I read Dew on the Grass and Genma's Daughter, both wonderful fics, I loved the couple so friggin' much. Rumiya x Misao [Magical Project S]: I'm not extremely crazy for Misao and Rumiya. I just like them as a couple. I did like it when Ramiya shoved Rumiya into Misao and *smooch*, but other than that, I just like it. Couples I Don't Obsess Over, But Still Like Anna x Manta [Shaman King]: I'm prolly only writing this 'cuz my sis is wondering why a like AnMan so much. I guess my only excuse for liking this pairing is because of the merchandise. It's a real shame, I know. Anyhoo, I found this pic of them together and Anna looked extremely happy. It kinda freaked me out at first, but then strange ideas formed. Also, for those who one the S.F.O.V. CDs, or have seen the covers, you'd know that Anna and Manta on a in a disc together. That got me to think that maybe the creators put the characters together in pairs that they'd be best with. (Except maybe Faust & Lyserg and Hao & Chocolove) Not exactly paired up romantically, but I'd like to think that. ^^ (Yoh & Ren (which I happily own ^^) and Horo & Ryu :3) Other than the merchandise, remember the time when Yoh left for America and there was a "touching" scene with Anna and Manta? *giggles* And remember the time Manta oversouled? Whoops, spoilers. *grins sheepishly* Anyhoo, Anna said that what Manta did was cool. ^_^ I hope that explains my fetish for this strange pairing. Manta x Tamao [Shaman King]: I wished they'd have more fics for this pairing. Even though I like AnMan, I think Manta is more likely to end up together, well that is if Tamao could even stop loving Yoh. Anyway, the night scene with them together and Tamao in a kimono was really cute. I guess it'd kinda make sense for Anna's two whimpy subordinates to get together, right? *throttled with tomatos by Manta and Tamao fans* Sorry! I didn't mean that. I love Manta and I like Tamao. I just thought they looked really funny and cute hugging like that. Ryu x Horo Horo [Shaman King]: I liked this pairing when I first started watching my Mankin DVDs. I wasn't really looking for any fics of them, but I did find one that my friend Falcon-san wrote called I'm Not Pretty! It's really cute. ^^ Anyhoo, I guess I like this pairing 'cuz they made great partners when Yoh-tachi went to China to rescue Ren. They kinda bicker about things. (Lovers' quarrel anyone?) And Ryu did go to Horo for comfort when Milly was only glad to see Lyserg. (Of course it was only meant in humorous terms, but like a give.) Yup, that's pretty much it. ^^ Ryu x Lyserg [Shaman King]: This pairing has its ups and downs for me. It's painfully obvious Ryu likes Lyserg, but Lyserg doesn't give a second thought about poor Ryu-san. I guess the downs are that Lyserg is far more concerned about the X-Laws and ways to kill Hao. It's just that Ryu constantly dotes Lyserg, and I can't help but like it. And there are times that Ryu breaks himself from his fondness, like the time Manta was trapped in that cage-thingy and it was falling. Lyserg reached out to try to save Manta, but Ryu shoved him away and saved him instead, which leads me to kinda liking Ryu x Manta. Crap. *curses Falcon-san* Anyway, I'll still have my ups and downs for this pairing, but I'll still like it. Jun x Pyron [Shaman King]: Jun is a very strange person. She can go from evil big sister who only wants to make her bratty (at first) brother happy into a sensitive big sister who cares a lot about her bratty (again, at first) little brother. She seems so confident of herself at first and I found it kinda interesting for her to break down like that, just because Pyron went against her. Did you see how big and teary her eyes were in the manga when Pyron decided to stay with her? Forget the fact that one is dead and one is alive, it's the thought that really counts. As much as I like this pairing, I cannot seem to read a fic without giving up half way on it. It's kinda sad, I know. Akira x Hikaru [Hikaru no Go]: I only find this couple cute, sadly, even though I thought I'd go head-over-heels for it. Yes, I love that rivalry love and I don't know why. I read some cute fics every now and then but some just creep me out. I also enjoy reading the Akira/Hikaru/Waya complex although they make poor poor Hikki look like a damsel. Kaga x Tsutsui [Hikaru no Go]: Kinda obvious, if I do say so myself. :P Sis thinks it's like Touya x Yukito (eh...?) but she likes this better. Leorio x Kurapika [Hunter x Hunter]: OMFudgin'G I knew this was gonna happen... I kept telling myself 'Must resist obsessing over popular couples'. Well, I'm not obsessed... yet. I just read from a HxH site where the owner rants about Leo x Kura. I guess I see her reasons, but asking of they were gay and if they would say "I love you" to each over kinda ticked me off a little. I can't help being a romantic. For those who aren't interested in romance and watch shounen genre anime for the action, well, good for you. And besides, who said the a romantic relationship couldn't be rooted from friendship? It happens all the times, right? Okay, I know my statement is weak, but I think that it's the fact that HxH fans dislike the thought that their favorite characters are gay or something like that. I mean, there's no right or wrong to any of this, right? If Togashi-sensei says that they aren't gay and they never will be, then, okay - it's impossible. Kurapika x Senritsu [Hunter x Hunter]: Ah... It's not just because I like Senritsu that I kinda find this pairing cute. After all, I guess she's the only one he trusted after he went solo (I'm not saying he doesn't trust Gon-tachi anymore, just that she's the only other person he can trust.) And even though they just seem like very good partners, I guess it works well as a one sided thing... maybe? (on Senritsu's part I mean) I dunno, that's just how I feel. Anyway, I'm still having a hard time looking for some Senritsu stuff - meaning it'd be a helluva lot harder to find KuraSen stuff. Shikamaru x Temari [Naruto]: In my opinion, I think this couple can beat ShikaIno anyday. *gets thrashed by ShikaIno fans* Ow... I don't have anything against it, I just there aren't enough hintings. Actually, I didn't start liking the pairing until after I read chapter... I don't remember. But since I don't wanna spoil it, I don't feel like writing it. But for those who did, it's kinda obvious why, right? Haku x Chihiro/Sen [Spirited Away]: This is like the most canon-est thing in the whole movie. Well, I'm not sure not sure if Miyazaki-san was implying on them being together but in the English dub, Kamajii said something about them and love. It sounded really corny though so I'm still left unconfirmed. Anyway, this is the only couple which, oddly, I cannot read fics for. Have a lot more couples I just like, but I might type them down whenever I feel like it. Meanwhile, you can always look back at the list in the About Me section or my ff.net profile. Against Any coupling that morons making by picking any two characters from the same anime having nothing to do with each other. (Ex: Kurama x Botan, Hiei x Botan, Kaiba x Shizuka, Horo Horo x Tamao, Ren x Pirika) Kurapika x Neon [Hunter x Hunter]: Okay, I tried very, VERY hard to be neutral with this couple, but apparently, it just got on my nerves even more. True, it's not like Kurama x Botan where they barely even make small talk with each other. But is it because Neon is the only pretty girl that is an acquaintance of Kurapika that they should be paired up? I'm not saying the couple isn't possible, it's just that, what are the chances? Ryouga x Ukyou [Ranma 1/2]: This must be one of the most popular Ranma 1/2 couples. I don't mind if Ryouga is paired up with Akane. I just don't know why people pair them up! Sure, they were in the 2nd movie together, but doesn't Ukyou love Ranma and Ryouga have a crush on Akane? Other than that, I don't like Ukyou(not as much as Shampoo). Twerpshipping(Satoshi (Ash) x Kasumi (Misty) [Pocket Monsters]: The most popular couple in Pokemon. I must say that I really dislike this couple. Ash is too dumb for Misty and Misty can be really bi***y some times (and I don't like Misty so she's always bi***y to me.) So I'm sorry to all those Twerpshippers but I just can't picture Ash and Misty as a couple. Maybe sister and brother but not couple. Matsuba (Morty) x Akane (Whitney) [Pocket Monsters]: I find Akane extremely annoying and I don't like the fact that she is paired up with anyone. Especially Matsuba, then maybe Kenta.
