Silver and Gold The silver moon She shines like a pearl everlasting In an onyx shaded night sky The sun he's brilliant Like a great topaz In the vast azure day sky Like the sun and like the moon My heart is divided seperate ways In the silver comforting cool I am content to be alone Moonlight holds no warmth Yet it is a friend to a creature such as I The gold, so warm and shimmering makes me want more Makes love grow and thrive And I need somebody to be there Though the sunlight gives all I need Conflicted and broken I stand between One side Wishing One side Knowing Love is a thing so desired Yet so out of reach So I am content to be moon lit silver Instead of sun swept gold.
