Cats

Cats are glorious, cute little things
With patterns and colors,
spots, stripes or rings.

See how they walk,
a swaying, tiptoeing prowl
no matter what they hunt
goldfish or fowl.

Watch they're adorable faces,
thin whiskers, little noses,
and keen glittering eyes
as they peer through the roses.

Soft fur, confident perpendicular tails,
as you watch them walk the narrowest trails
by day they sleep, within your home,
at night they roam the streets alone.

Mischievous, cuddly, beautiful cats
dogs may have masters,
but cats they have staff
and nothing my friends is finer than that.
