Vampire's Bond

He sees a beautiful woman,
smiling and standing there
with flowers in her hair
she's sweet sixteen, he's seventeen
Or he was in 1323...

He died when he was seventeen
But he lives again
Immortal blood coursing through his veins
Shunning the sunlight
Nyx has become his lover now

Vampire he maybe
But kill nothing shall he
He has learned to feed
without bringing death
while satisfying that aching need

This, woman, this perfect beauty
Perfect image of mortal beauty
She has such power over him
She will turn seventeen in two months...
Then, She will be his...he will wait

Two months are up, they left so fast
Tonight's the night she shall be his
With that done, she'll die, they'll bury her and then
she will wake, filled with new life
and he will bring her up again

Teach her what he knows,
guide her through the change
parent/child relationship all that shows now
After the change, nothings ever the same
The love they once had, it's fled now
Once she has learned all she needs
He will leave, for once it is done
it's always the same "I prefer to hunt alone"
And so they are left to atone with what they are.
