Chia
(CH-EE-A):
(myth) A Columbian goddess of musicians.
(fact) The best transglobal band in Adelaide.
Chia, previously known as Expresiones is a fresh
new mix of transglobal dance music. This four piece band mixes the
soulful traditional instrumentation from the Andes with the electronic
dance, drum and bass and hip hop to make a mix that surpasses all
boundaries.
Originating
from a traditional South American band, this group of young musicians
focus on bringing together their different cultures to create what
is known as the unique, hip and refreshing sound that is Chia.
It may sound
unbelievable, but Chia serves you a remix of Andean panpipes that
starts your toes tapping…followed by your hips swaying…then
sneakily transcends you to a global dance frenzy!
