| What does Chiara do when she is not playing the piano? In this page you'll find more about her! "First of all my family: Mum Grazia, Dad Ottavio and my brother Giovanni are my great treasures, and I always try to have time to spend with them. One of the most important things in my life is faith: I'm very happy to be Christian, and I try to live this gift in my everyday life, with simplicity and humility. Then friends: a lot of people can bear me, and so I'm always writing emails, meeting friends, calling and planning next meetings! I adore reading: poetry (my favourites? T. S. Eliot, P. Celan, Matsuo Basho...), theatre (Shakespeare of course..., Euripides, the great Cechov, but almost everything by Carlo Goldoni too...!), the great classics (Dosto'evskij, Solzhenitsijn, Bernanons, Tolstoij... and many others!), essays, humour (Wodehouse, Guareschi, Jerome)... but I'd read even shampoo-labels!! I'm a great art-lover: paintings (first two? Masaccio and Titian!), sculptures (Michelangelo, of course..., but Etrurian and Roman sculpture too!), architecture, and modern arts! I like a lot photographs: I'm a fan of Cartier-Bresson, but I'm an amateur-photographer myself. One of my shots was published in a book, by www.picture.com, while another was chosen by Incredimail to become an email-background. Alas, I write some poems too: a little Haiku I wrote had a good luck at "Cascina Macondo" 2004 Competition (haiku.cascinamacondo.com). I don't like sport at all, but I like walking at the mountains or in towns I don't know, and swimming at the sea... I'm a great film-lover, especially with old films (some of my favourites? Almost all films by Akira Kurosawa, including Dreams and The Blood Throne; great Kozintsev's King Lear, and Andreij Tarkovskij's wonderful Stalker; the splendid Ordet by Dreyer; almost all films by Hitchkock; the funny films by Jerry Lewis and Stan & Olly; and comedy-films with Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn; Walt Disney's cartoons and... the new 3D masterworks). Among the most important things in my life there is solidarity... E. g. I'm always glad to play for ill or disabled people, planning concerts through my friends group "Portare la Musica".
