Bill Champlin was born on May 21st, 1947 in California. He joined Chicago around the time of "Chicago 16". He was originally asked by one of the members to sing as a guest on a track, but he fit in so well that he ended up joining the band. He plays pianos, keyboards, and guitars for the band and of course he sings vocals. Aside being a member of Chicago, Bill Champlin has a group called the 'Sons of Champlin' and is also a well-known solo artist as well.
