Once a Princess, always a princess
Chapter 1
Serena walked down the street with Luna on her way to the arcade to meet the girls and of course Darien. She felt that since the ski incident happened she, Darien, and Rini had become much closer. She bounced down the street and Luna asked her why she was so happy. "Well, first of all, we're going to the arcade and I don't know I just feel so much closer to my Darien and Rini, believe it or not." They then approached the Crown arcade where she saw Darien lovingly waiting for her outside. "Hi muffin!" she yelled. "Hi meatball head." he said as she reached him and they embraced with a loving hug. "So, what have you been up to?" she inquired. "Not much..." he stopped. A girl with flowing auburn hair was coming down the sidewalk. She wore the same high school uniform that belonged to Serena's high school and carried the same cute school bag. Her eyes, very cold, very majestic seemed to sink into the very memory sitting in the back of Darien's skull. He twinged. She got closer and stopped, seemed to look a little sad, but it slowly faded out. Their eyes locked. "Who is this girl?" He thought. "She's so strange, she seems lost, cold, distant, I just don't...' "Oh hi Dharly!" interrupted Serena. "Darien, this is Dharly. She's a new student at my school. She lives all by herself just like you and she's from New York. That's in America! " Darien reached out his hand and shook Dharly's. Something inside of him got queasy, almost brought a tear to his eye. "D....d......d.....do I know you?" He finally choked out. "Well.." she said "Unless you go frequently flying all the way from Tokyo to New York, then I don't think so. "I have the strangest feeling I do know you." he stated "Sorry, you must be mistaken." "Hey!!" Shouted Rini from down the street. "Hi guys!" She ran up behind Darien and jumped on his back. She looked at Dharly and screamed jumping off of Darien's back and clasping Dharly's hands in her own, "Wow! You're that figure skater I've seen on television, Dharly Heiss, aren't you!?" "Yes, that's me." "Wow, you figure skate!" shouted Serena. "How amazing, I've always wanted to do that" "Well , I'm really more of a dancer actually. This just pays more, and I get to travel a lot, but don't get me wrong, I love it." "Wow. Hey Darien, maybe that's where you've seen her before.." Serena stated. "Yeah, must be." he replied, but deep inside, he knew it wasn't. "So," Dharly started "well maybe I'll just leave you guys alone. I'll just go home." "No, don't be silly" shouted Serena, clapping her hand on Dharly's back. " You can come with us, we were just going to meet the girls and go see a movie." "Well, I don't want to impose..." "Nonsense," Serena replied "You're a friend, trust me all the girls will welcome you." "Yeah," said Rini, "Besides I want to hear all about how much fun your job is" Rini took Dharly's hand in hers and they began to walk merrily down the street with Serena close behind. But, Serena soon realized Darien was still standing and staring down at Dharly and Rini with a blank stare. "Muffin, are you coming?" No reply. "Darien, " she placed her hand on his "Are you ok?" "Wh, what? Oh yeah. " He smiled down at her. "I'm fine I just have a very queer feeling." They began to walk down the sidewalk.
