New Business

Fruit and Flower Sales

Linda Rogers, Kim Wooding, and Cristina Palmer will tri-chair the Poinsettia and Fruit sales.  Flyers will go home with all students this week.  Deliveries will take place in the bus barn behind the football field as follows; Poinsettias on November 28th, 29th, and 30th.  Fruit will come in on December 5th and needs to be picked up on that day as well.  Anyone wishing to help these ladies on those dates please contact Robert Wingo at 684-4404.

Parades

This year is an election year and we have been asked to March in the Returns Day Parade in Georgetown on November 9th. Parental help will be needed that day.  Please contact Mr. Eli at school if you are able to help and plan on being at the band room at 11:30.  Students can plan on returning to school at approximately 4pm. The holiday parade schedules are as follows; Lewes, Saturday December 2nd, Rehoboth, Monday, December 4th, and Milton, Wednesday, December 6th.  In addition to the holiday parades, the Jazz Band will be performing during Hospitality Night in Lewes on November 30th.

Phone Tree
Carol Moore suggested that as we start each fundraiser, just after information has been given to the students that the phone tree be started to also inform parents that a fundraiser has been sent home.  It was agreed that this was an excellent way to communicate this information.

Web Site Updates
Ken Schleifer asked if the web site would be updated to show our game dates, our parade dates and times, and other upcoming information.  It was also noted by Robert that our Host, geocities, is sometimes slow or non-functioning.  It was agreed that Robert and Ken will investigate this further.
They will get with our Web Master, Darrel Dukes with the findings.

University of Delaware Band Day

Krista Scudlark suggested that we look into participating in Band Day held each year with the U of D.  Students travel north to the campus and get tours of the facility and play with the band.  It is a great experience.  Mr. Eli stated that it depended upon when it was held.

The meeting was adjourned at 8pm sharp.  The next boosters meeting will be on November 13th at 7pm.  Minutes respectfully submitted by Joan Williamson.
