Connie Holdridge will also be compiling the chaperone list, if you are interested please contact her at [email protected].

Directors Report
We placed second in the Returns Day Parade and Mr. Eli did talk with the students about why they received that ranking.  Senior night which was held in conjunction with the last football game of the season went well.  The VFW performance also was well received and Mr. Eli was very pleased that 55 students showed up to play and they played so well that an invitation was extended from the audience for them to perform and march in the National St. Patricks Day Parade in Washington, DC.

Boston Spring Trip
Mr. Eli reported that our trip this year will not be through Classic Tours and therefore we will require a signed Travel Participation Contract from each student planning to attend.  A copy of the trip information and contract will be given to each student prior to the Thanksgiving break.  The trip will cost $525.00 per student and $575.00 per chaperone.
Mr. Eli also took time to personally thank Heidi and Darrell Dukes for pulling the trailer to so many events, and to PJ Hopkins and Starr Leavel for taking care of the uniforms.

Choir Director
The Choir still plans to join the band for the Boston trip. Yea!!! It was agreed that the Music Boosters would donate $200.00 towards the Cape Henlopen Performing Arts Calendar.  This calendar lists all events and performances for the entire year.  The CHHS District paid for 50% of the publication expenses, all other department participants are to pay for the balance.
Old Business
Fruit and Poinsettias Sales were extended for one more week due to the fact that they were originally due to be turned in on Tuesday which was Election Day and no students were in the building.  One week prior to pick up the phone tree will be enacted to remind everyone of their orders and where to pick them up.
New Business
A suggestion was made that we have a Band Blast one night on the Football Field.  This involves many bands showing up and performing.  It was explained by Mr. Eli that this has been explored in the past and was not well received by other band directors.  What he suggested in place of that would be for the Junior High Bands, 7th, thru 9th grades, to perform during half time at a football game.  He also explained that he is investigating looking into having our students travel to the U of D in the later part of April to perform.

Trailer-Darrel Dukes explained that the roof on the trailer is leaking and needs to be repaired.  Robert Wingo will call Wellers Utility Trailers for an estimate.  Darrell explained that the trailer is 14 years old, has a flat roof and that the screws in all the joints are rusting.

Clothing-Anyone interested in helping with clothing sales or has questions concerning Band clothing please feel free to contact Carrie Warrington at 945-3385.  Many items are available and would make great stocking stuffers.

Cell Phones
Ken Schleifer advised that he is still collecting from schools and communities for recycling all used cell phones and ink cartridges - please dont forget to donate. This is a profitable fundraiser.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:07pm.  The next meeting will be December 11th at 7pm.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Joan Williamson.
