Minutes of the Cape Henlopen Music Booster
Meeting February 13, 2001
-Thanks to the Elks Lodge 2540 which presented a check for $750.00 to the
Boosters from the casino night fundraiser.
-Minutes from the last meeting were approved.
-Treasurer's Report was approved

-Charleston Trip: from April 26 to April 30
will be staying at the Sheraton North in
Charleston
-Concert band , jazz band, and choir will perform on Saturday
-Marching band will perform on Sunday
-For Saturday performance, students will need
khaki pants and
their blue Cape Music shirt,
if you need a shirt you can get it from Sandy
Phillips
-There will be a uniform night to inspect and turn in
uniforms before Charleston-
-you will need to dry clean uniform before the
Charleston trip-
-Cost: For students is $390.00 and for
chaperones is $330.00
-Final Payment: Due by the March 12 Booster
Meeting
-It was motioned and approved to purchase 50 black garment bags
-Jazz Band Fundraiser- Mr. Witsill who is chairing this fundraiser briefly
discussed the event, March 23 is tentative date.
He is looking for volunteers to help him, especially with food service and decorations. His
tentative idea is to get ten people to each get ten couples each for a total
of 200 people. Any volunteers to help him would be much
appreciated.
-Beef and Dumpling Dinner- Will begin preparations at 10:00 that morning.
Sign up sheets are available. Volunteers earn stars, not points as this
money goes into the general fund. Students are asked to bring desserts in throw-away containers. Tickets have been handed out to students
-The phone tree call will be done to remind students to bring in their dinner
tickets as well as their raffle ticket stubs
-Funsters Dance Fundraiser is March 2. If you have items for silent auction please let us know
-Relay for Life: is on May 11 from 4:00 pm to May 12 12:00 noon. 53 students have
signed up so far. Need chaperones. Contact the Gordons if you would like to help. ( Relay email )

-Account info for the 8th graders is still being set
-Fundraiser Committee- next meeting is February 26 at 7:00
-consider a McDonald's fundraiser
-Meadow Muffin Mania- Need a chairperson for this. This could be a big
money raiser.
-Vacation Getaway Fundraiser: Remember this is the last two weeks for
selling. The drawing will be on
February 24 at the play.
