Strawberry Sales: Robert Wingo reported 28 students participated for a total sale of 733 pounds. A total of $733.00 will be distri buted to the appropriate student accounts. An extra 100 pounds was ordered and delivery will be on May 13th to the bus barn around noon. Anyone that can help separate orders should arrive around 11:30 a.m. and orders can be picked up any time after noon. The transportation cost us @ $400 last year and will be @ $200 this year. Our actual charge will be approximately $100 since the other $100 was added into the cost of the product. Robert did ask P.J. Hopkins to assist in separating orders and she will also activate the phone tree the night before for any students that participated. Announcements will also be prepared for the schools.

Retirement Gathering: Cheryl Littlefield reported several good ideas have been discussed for a retirement celebration. Current plans are to have a more casual, open house style gathering with light snacks provided. Ken Schleiffer will confirm possible dates that Barry would be available. Anyone willing to assist should contact Cheryl directly. 


Coast Day Parking: Th e board decided that this would be applied to the general fund and any students participating will receive community service hours. Krista Scudlark reported that the payment will be $1000.00 only and they have scheduled us for this event on the 1st Sunday in October.


New business


Truck Rental: Darryl reported a final quote of $744.75 for truck rental.


State Fair Parking: P.J. Hopkins reported the only change is the name of the lots. Animal names are now added to the colors. Sign-up sheets are now available and she will be visiting the middle schools to make an announcement for all 8th grade students. Day captains are needed as well to help transport students for drinks, breaks, etc. You can sign-up for the entire day or separate into half
days. State Fair dates are July 17th through July 26th.


Summer Fund Raisers: Robert Wingo discussed scheduling chicken bar-b-ques over the summer and Chuck Wooding has agreed to look into available dates. Car washes will be held in accordance with the bar-b-ques.


Restaurant Nights: Christie Pierson will be contacting the Road House to schedule a fundraiser night and also mentioned that we could possibly schedule 1 restaurant each month.

Trailer Ads: Draft letters to businesses were provided by Ron Simonson for review.


Band Director Position: Barry Eli reported that Dr. Stone is valuing his opinion on the candidates for next year. There are currently 8 applicants for his position.


The Mikado: Heidi Dukes reported that there will be a performance of The Mikado by the Southern Delaware Choral Society on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown. Ken Schleiffer will be a drummer during this performance. Ticket prices are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for students. You may contact Heidi directly for tickets.
