He explained that this is his first experience directing a high school band, but has had experience at the college level. His plans to continue with the same programs that are already in place, including band camp beginning in July. He also plans to take the band to the University of Delawares band day this year on October 11th. The band camp schedule for this year (beginning in August) is available and a letter has been sent home to all students currently registered for band. Mr. Barbarita would also like to do an inventory of all instruments in the band room and any help would be greatly appreciated.  Should you have any questions for Mr. Barbarita, you may contact him directly on his e-mail at [email protected] until his district e-mail has been established.

Gail Kelso will be preparing a syllabus for all of this years choirs. There are 2 concerts planned for this year. The spring concert may be separate from the band which worked well this past year. She does p lan to combine the choir with the band trip this year and would like to have some of the students who have attended the band trip get the choir students excited. All of the students registered for choir have been contacted via the phone tree in regards to state fair parking and are encouraged to participate in this fundraiser.
