| CHHS Music Boosters Minutes February 12, 2007 The meeting was brought to order at 7:03pm. A motion was made to have the minutes accepted, seconded, and approved. Treasurers Report Rama Peri reported that the second payment has been made for the spring trip and all accounts reflect that. There is $17,808.72 in the Checking account, $11,796.10 in the Money Market account and, $836.22 in the Scholarship account. Of those monies, $25,464.74 is in Student Accounts, $4,135.35 is in the General Fund, $4.73 is in the Rifle Fund and $836.22 is in the Scholarship Fund. Rama advised that if we should want to rent another bus for the trip to Boston that we can expect to pay approximately $7,000.00. and we will need additional fund raising in order to make this happen. Student Accounts Rama reported in Connie Holdridge�s absence that the student accounts would be posted in the band room and that the balance shown does reflect that 2 payments that have been withdrawn from their individual accounts to pay for the Boston trip. Directors Report Neither Barry Eli nor Gail Kelso were available for tonight�s meeting. Presidents Report Fundraisers Longaberger - Robert Wingo introduced Michelle Duffy, a sales consultant for Longaberger Baskets. Michelle explained two different fundraisers that she would help us hold. The board will consider both and an appropriate time to conduct the fundraisers. Applebee�s - Lisa Thorpe presented information on the Applebee�s Restaurant breakfast fundraisers. They will offer a pancake and sausage breakfast on Saturdays from 8am to 10am for the ticket cost of $5.00 per person. All ticket proceeds would be our to keep, and we can sell up to 300 tickets. They do request that approximately 20 students are needed to be used as greeters, servers, and bussers. It was decided that we would conduct two breakfasts for the month of March, one on March 10th and another on March 31st. Outback - Lisa also reported that Outback Restaurant offers a Lunch fundraiser. For the ticket price of $10.00 they will supply each ticket holder with a sirloin steak, baked potato and salad. Again, all ticket proceeds would be ours to keep. No students would be used to assist on this fundraiser. Because this fundraiser is so popular there are no available dates till the fall but Lisa advised that we should book those dates now as they fill up very quickly. Trailer - Robert thanked Darrell and Heidi for removing all the graffiti off the music trailer. Old Business � Nicoboli�s -Robert thanked Carol Moore for the successful Nicoboli sales. Carol reported that 34 students participated and sold $1,170.00 � this was double the amount earned the previous year. All products will be delivered to the school on Tuesday February 27th and that the phone tree will be started to notify parents. They will be available to be picked up between 3 and 6pm. Spaghetti Dinner- The Lighthouse Restaurant will be unable to sponsor a dinner this year. March Mayhem � Alan Bales will be unable to chair this event this spring and it was suggested that the Booster Board try and do it. It will be investigated further. New Business Strawberry Sale � a fundraiser will be started on March 10th and will run through till April 5th. Strawberries from a grower in North Carolina will be sold by the pound for $3.00. Our cost will be $1.50/ lb. Delivery will be during the 2nd week of May. Boston Spring Trip - The next payment will be due on March 2nd for $100.00. This information will be given to the parents in advance via the phone tree. The meeting was adjourned at 8:18 pm. The next meeting will be on March 12th.
