The Treasurers Report was read. A motion to accept report was made, seconded and approved.

Old Business

Phone Tree Almost everyone in attendance had been notified of meeting by the Phone Tree.  However, there were a couple of attendees who have not.  The Phone Tree Chair will try to resolve this issue.

Instrument Trailer Darrell reported that Ken Schliefer had been added to the trailer as Assistant Director.

Senior Night Due to bad weather at the last home football game, recognition of Seniors was postponed until the Spring Concert.  There will be a brief ceremony acknowledging the Senior Music Students.

Fruit and Poinsettia Sales Chair Connie Holdridge reported the gross fruit sales for 2004  was $12,592.00 with $4,751.30 profit going directly to students account.  The gross flower sales was $17,004 with $7,676.40 profit going directly to students accounts.  These two fundraisers put $12,427.70 into the students accounts which is, by the way, approximately what the music students make from State Fair Parking.

Trip Information Because of County Band activities, Mr. Eli was not able to attend the February meeting.  He did fill Darrell in with some trip news.  A hotel will be booked when a firmer head count of participants is available.  The final trip installment of $235 for students and chaperones will be due March 8.  The phone tree was activated prior to the meeting to inform anyone who had not paid Januarys installment that the deadline was February 14.  If payment for that installment was not made by that time, students and/or chaperones will not be able to go on trip.  If their trip money was not turned in, a reservation could not be made with the festival organizers.

Student Accounts Terina Kreitzer can be contacted for student account balance.  Also, Mr. Eli has an account balance spreadsheet that students can check.

Winter Concert Was rescheduled for Sunday, January 9.  The two choirs, the Freshmen and Senior bands gave a wonderful performance.  Many boosters liked having the concert on a Sunday afternoon as opposed to a weeknight.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade It was noted that the marching band sounded great and remarkably, the weather was pleasant for January.
All State Members Congratulations to students who made All State Choir, Band, Jazz Band and Orchestra.  Krista Scudlark has some photos she will give to Joan Williamson for newspaper submission.

County Band Members Congratulations to students who made County Band.  Cape Henlopen High School students make up a large percentage of County Band.

Tissue Fundraiser After some discussion, this fundraiser was tabled until next year.  This fundraiser was supposed to start in January and since the January meeting was cancelled, it was felt that it was getting too close to spring to have this event.

New Business

Nominating Committee Stephanie Williams and Marilyn Davis volunteered for this committee and will begin soliciting members for the offices.  If anyone is interested in running for office or knows someone who would do a good job at any of the positions available, please contact one of the nominating committee members.

Student Scholarship Committee
Marilyn Davis will chair committee that awards two scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to continue their education.  Procedures were available for her at meeting.  Senior parents cannot participate on this committee.  Announcement of winners will come at Spring Concert.  Please note this scholarship is open to Choir and/or Band members.

Trailer Advertising Ross and Mary Anne Schall volunteered to chair this profit center for 2005-2006 school year.

Phone Tree P.J. Hopkins volunteered to chair the phone tree committee for 2005-2006 school year.

State Fair Parking Carol Moore volunteered to be our chairperson for 2005 State Fair Parking fundraiser.

Uniforms All uniforms should be dry cleaned and the jackets turned in to Mr. Eli.  The new jackets are in and will be disbursed to County Band participants first, and then to trip participants after the old jackets are turned in.

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 14 at 7pm.  It may take place in Little Theater as Music Room may be booked for other purposes.

Meeting adjourned 7:50pm.
