Minutes April 10, 2006 (Continued) New Business Nomination Committee - Robert Wingo asked for volunteers for a Nominating Committee for next years board member positions. Kim Wooding, Linda Rogers, and Christina Palmer volunteered. Scholarship Committee � We need volunteers to staff this committee, 4 scholarship judges in fact. None of the volunteers/committee members can have a student who is a senior. Marilyn Davis is very willing to help this committee get started. She was last years Chair. Relay For Life � Heidi Dukes stated that Jamie Shea and Michael Holdridge are co-chairing the Relay for Life Cancer Fundraiser/Rally to be held on May 12th and 13th at Holly Lake Campground. Students may sign up now, but this is a fundraiser so students should be prepared to obtain donations for Cancer Research. Heidi also stated that Adult Chaperones are needed and volunteers can coordinate �shifts� which has worked in the past, so that no one needs to stay the entire time. This is an overnight function. Spaghetti Dinner � We are in need of a volunteer to chair this fundraiser to be held at the newly renovated Fisherman�s Wharf Restaurant. Fall Fruit Sale � Robert Wingo is also investigating a fall fruit and cheesecake fundraiser. State Fair Parking � P.J. Hopkins has agreed to co-chair this event. We need someone to volunteer to co-chair with her. We will be contacted very shortly by the State Fair. Instrument Trailer � Darrell Dukes advised that the roof on the instrument trailer needs to be recoated, Robert said he will do it. Also, Darrell reported that a smaller wagon type trailer is inside the bigger trailer but is never used. Should we consider selling this? The meeting was adjourned at 8:08pm.
