The Stallion:
*Big John is a beautful Percheron stallion imported to C&H Ranch to help work the implements on the ranch. He is a large stallion, and I have no doubts that he will be able to perform that tasks that we give him. His previous owner was sad to part with him, but she knew he was going to be at a good home. Here is what she said about him:
"This is the sweetest stallion that I have ever met. He is almost like a gelding. My friend’s 3 year old daughter comes over and she loves this horse. I put her up on his back and walk him around with her on him, he is such a gentlemen. In the barn, she gets right underneath him while we are grooming him and he just stands there until she moves, being careful not to step on her. He has been trained to pull a wagon and has done farm work since he was 3, he is a pro. In his later years, I hope he becomes a stud, I know that he will throw awesome foals."

C&H plans to eventually breed John with a couple C&H mares to produce warmblood foals on his off season. Being a correct, gentle, and calm stallion I'm sure that he will cross well with the mares.

The Lineage:
John comes from lines of working horses who really didn't do much in the show arena. However, they are incredible loggers and plowers, with great endurance and stamina needed to work hard all day, six days a week. John himself has little show experience, as he shines at home on C&H as a working horse. We don't know what we would do without him.
