The Stallion:
C&H is very proud to have own a stallion such as Flash Fire CH. Through selective breeding and years of work, we have produced what we believe to be one of HF's greats. We have high hopes for him in his racing career, which looks very promising with the excercise times he is clocking in. We have also never had to use the crop on him, as he has always given his all more than willingly even when it is not required. When he is retired from racing we will pursue a few other disciplines in which is forebearers have excelled in. Flash Fire CH, being C&H Ranch's junior stallion to his grandsire HOF Topside, has much resting on him, as he is a hopeful for the 2003 Triple Crown and will eventually replace Topside as our senior sire when Topside is aged. So far, Flash has produced some outstanding foals that are blowing away competition. For such a young stallion, he certainly shows much potential as one of HF's top sires. Interestingly, he even sired a grey brindle foal, and does in fact carry the brindle gene.

I couldn't ask for a better personality in a horse than what Flash Fire exhibits. Having been raised by the incredibly gentle giant Kryptonite, a surrogate Friesian mare, he learned at a young age to respect others and retain a good attitude towards everything. Kryptonite always produces a surplus of milk, so his growth as a foal was well supported, as you can see in his pictures. Living in the high mountains terrain of the Sierra Nevadas in thiner air, his lungs and muscles are larger and more developed than the valley Thoroughbreds, giving him a edge against the others on the racetrack. Ironically, Flash Fire CH loves to join us on our cattle round-ups and takes pride in being able to imitate and cut cattle like our ranch horses. It's one thing he really enjoys, so we allow him to tag along and keep a watchful eye so that he doesn't get hurt.

His pedigree combines the best of C&H Ranch, the reknown stallion *HOF* Topside, the illustrious mare *HOF* Gallant Wonder, the versatile mare *HOF* Solar Flaire, and the amazing EE stallion Drops Of Jupiter, owned by JJ of Windy Acres, through Michelle's wonderful stallion Neptune, as well as the celebrated stallion Free House owned by Chelsea of Windblown Thoroughbreds. In addition to that HF AND EE fire power, Flash Fire CH's immaculate bloodlines boast greats such as Man O' War, Secretariate, Northern Dancer, Nashua, Nearco, Native Dancer, Mr. Prospector, Affirmed, Seattle Slew, Buckpasser, and more. He certainly has the bloodlines to not only be a great champion himself, but produce great champions as well.
