The Mare:
Dresdan CH is a sensitve, light-footed horse with an incredibly gentle and giving heart. Dresdan was so named after hand decorated fine porcelain, which fits her perfectly; she is finely put together, dainty, and beautiful. She is intelligent and has the ability to work her mind to get out of a sticky situation. This is only expected, considering who her lovely parents are. Dresdan loves to race and loves to feel the wind in her mane. She is not as fiercely competitive as her racing partner, Marutas CH, but she is cunning and can work herself out of even the smallest hole in a pack. Also unlike Marutas, Dresdan prefers to come up from behind when the leaders are tiring and take the pack by surprize with an astonishing blast of incredible speed. She certainly knows when she has won.

Dresdan CH has a light build meant for speed. She was selectively bred from a Western sire and an English dam, a concoction that has certainly spelled success for an superior racehorse. Don't let her lightness fool you; she is very powerful and athletic. Dresdan displays a excellent bone structure with plenty of substance, a wonderful sloping shoulder with a powerful chest, a smooth hip capable of pushing her to a quick speed in no time, a typey head with large, expressive eyes, and a lovely, graceful neck. She is feminine yet a serious contendor as a racehorse and eventually a western horse. We have high hopes for her, and we believe she will help raise C&H to new heights in the Arabian racing world.

The Lineage:
Dresdan CH comes from a selective mating between two very talented horses. Her sire, Barotan, is a stunning grey stallion who excells in the western disciplines. He is sensitive yet masculine, and shows an excellent and study structure with plenty of bone size. Unfortunately he was only introduced into the showring later in life, which is unfortunate, as he is only now being able to prove himself as a showhorse and sire. He is one of the most undervalued stallions in HF, but C&H believes that will change. He recently garnered himself with the 2006 Scottsdale Ten to Thirteen Year Old Stallions RESERVE CHAMPION. His lineage is impeccable, and reads as a who's who of prominent and historical Russian Arabians.

Dresdan CH's dam, Wonder Of Ofir, is a mare of significance in HF in her own right. Her lines are full of extremely well-known Russian and Polish stallions and mares who have left a large impact on the Arabian breed. Wonder herself has proven to be one of the most valueable producers C&H owns. She was raced for a short period of time, and out of 2 starts she earned 0 wins: 1 place: 1 show. Racing wasn't her forte, and has since proven herself invaluable as an English mare. Wonder has earned Scottsdale 2001 English Country Pleasure CHAMPION, 2001 Arabian Nationals 4y/o Mare CHAMPION, 2001 Arabian Nationals Junior Mare RESERVE CHAMPION, 2001 Arabian Nationals Country English Pleasure Open CHAMPION, 2003 Salon Du Cheval Seven Year Old Mares RESERVE CHAMPION, 2004 Scottsdale Eight Year Old Mares CHAMPION, and much more.
