I love bangla songs, like to play guitar and sing 'jibonmukhi bangla gaan' (modern Bengali songs about everyday life ), like 'adda'('adda' is useless chatting with friends about nothing and everything), traveling etc. At present work as an Assistant Professor and do research in the field of Plant Biotechnology, Plant Molecular Biology and Genomics at the University of Northern Colorado.I genetically engineer plants for the purpose of trait enhancement and modification. Title of the talk: �Plant Biology in the Post Genomics Era� IN THE MEDIA 2. Included in National Register's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals in its 2004 edition for reaching �a level of recognizable success�. 3. �URI GRAD STUDENT EARNS INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR RESEARCH ON GENETIC ENGINEERING OF PLANTS�: University of Rhode Island News Bureau Release, February 13, 2002. The applicant was featured in the University of Rhode Island news release for the national and international awards and fellowships he received for his achievements in plant biotechnology. 4. �TURF TECHS TOUGHEN GRASS�: �The Providence (Sunday) Journal� (June 3, 2001). The applicant was photo-featured for his research in plant biotechnology in the widely circulated (more than 160,000 subscribers) daily newspaper. OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS 5. Ranked 50th. out of 450,000 students in the school leaving examination in West Bengal, India 6. Ranked 135th. out of 450,000 students in the pre college examination in West Bengal, India 7.
