I hope everybody had a great year! Thank you to all the parents who volunteered! Thank you to our door monitor, Amanda. Without her, we wouldn't be able to have classes. I hope to see everybody in September for next season's registration!

Reminder
Just a reminder that all Rehersals and the Recital from April 27-30 will be held at Havre de Grace High. Directions are located Here. There will be no dance at Churchville Elementary after April 19th. There will be no class held on April 26th.

Reminder
Just a reminder that there will be no dance on Tuesday, April 18th, because of no school. Please take advantage of your Wednesday class on the 19th at Churchville Elementary for extra practice. There will be no more classes being held at Fountain Green Elementary. The next class will be stage rehersal on Thursday, April 27th. All Rehearsals will be at Havre de Grace High. Picture Day
When it is picture Day, you will want your child looking their best. They are allowed to wear small jewelry, but nothing dangly or gawdy. Please remember that when they wear light colored tights, you see panties underneath, so the best thing is not to wear them. Please ask them to be "Ladies" while in their costumes so they don't get damaged. Please do not let them eat or drink while weating them. Most are made of silk and will get stained easily. Light makeup is nice but at your discretion to brighten up their faces. Payment will be needed in advance the day of pictures. Please have your paperwork filled out completely ahead of time. The pictures will be mailed to your home.
Rehersal Days
On Rehersal Days, the classes will be handled like any other day in respect to rules from before. These rules need to be followed so we can have smooth rehersals.
1. Parents are not allowed in the auditorium during practices. Because we are going to be practicing in the hallway as well for some clases, you may not be able to stay in the lobby. Wealther permitting, you may want to go to the park. Ask for directions if needed.
2. As per the rules from before, no siblings in the school unless they are in the program. Hopefully it will be nice weather to go to the park.
3. Please get the children to practice on time. It is very important to have all time being used wisely. Make sure they have bathroom break before class.
4. Please have all costume parts, and accessories, and shoes in a large zip lock bag with their name on it. Have all shoes with their in them. They will need these to be with them for rehersals and recital. Please no not forget them for recital!
5. Please be patient with us. Sometimes it gets hectic and we need your full cooperation. Please don't hesitate to volunteer for something if a situation arrises. You just never know what comes our way!
Recital Day
The Day of recital, we need to make sure everyone is on the same page. If everyone follows directions, everything will run smoothly. We need to make things easy for the children so no one gets nervous.
1. Please have the children at the school by 2:30 so their room mothers can muster them.
2. Parents cannot go back with the children. All parents must wait in the lobby.
3. Please let me know ahead of time if a special needs person needs to be seated before th assigned time.
4. Make sure children have their costumes on, and their hair done ahead of time. Please have stage makeup on. This is put on more brightly so their faces won't be washed out up on stage.
5. Please do not have panties on. They will be seen through tights.
6. Please donot try to get into the auditorium until the assigned time.
7. No picture taking during the program. Flashes ditract the children. You may video tape, but no tripods so high they obstruct views.
8. Children need to stay until the end of the program for finale. Please do not leave in the middle of the program. It is distracting to the audience and disrespecting to the children. Children will be dismissed from the stage.
9. Don't forget your flowers for your girls!
Recital Ticket Sales
We would like to take this opportunity to tank everyone that participated in our fundraising this year. It is through these fundraisers that we can continue to keep our program going. I know it is sometimes frustrating to have fundraisers shoved to you from all angles, and we all get tied of doing them. We did not have as successful a year in our fundraising as we have had in the past. To continue to see our program through to the end, we will have a small increase in our tickets this year. (So what else is new!) The price for our recital tickets will be $4 for Adults and $2 for students. We have had some parents question a fee for tickets before and the situation is that most programs charge a fee for their show. High Schools charge for music shows and all sports events charge fees. That's because we are not state funded anymore and we all have to support our own programs. Tickets can be purchased starting now. Tickets will also be sold at the door. We know everyone will enjoy our recital and it will be worth every penny. To see your child up on stage is priceless!

Recital Class Schedule
Here is the class schedule for each class for each day. It is very important for every child to be at every class if at all possible. This is their practice time with the other classes.

Recital Rehersal and Dates
The following info is dates for future regerence. Please mark these on your calendars. These are very important dates where everyone needs to attend. Both schools are dancing together so the girls need to adjust to this.

Right now, all teachers need their time on teaching their classes so we can have a great recital for you parents. All dates are in concrete and cannot be changed unless the board changes them at the last minute. (We already know that can happen because of Christmas time.) I have never has them change my recital times as of yet to date. We are looking forward to putting on out show for you and hope you are also looking forward to it as well. There will be no dance Wed. Feb. 15th. If it snows and the school can't hold their function, they will hold it on the 22nd which means there will be no dance then.

Joe Corbi Fundraiser
We will do our fundraiser for Joe Corbi from Jan 3rd til Jan 17th. Please commit yourselves to this fundraiser. There have been many new items added to the selectrion this year and it should be very successful. We will have the items delivered in time for Super Bowl Sunday. Remember, you can have a discount on your costumes by selling pizzas. Please make sure all money is turned in by the 18th. If you cannot make it to dance, you may turn in your order to Churchville Elem. from 5-7pm. Your may also email me your order, ([email protected]), or call it in to me, (410-939-9087). We are tax exempt. Please only one check per child's order. Make checks payable to Fountain Green Rec. (Fountain Green dancers) or Churchville Rec. (Churchville dancers). No orders will be accepted past Jan 18th. As soon as orders and discounts are figured, costume money will be due by Jan 24th. I cannot order the costumes without full payment and the costumes need to be ordered 12 weeks before the recital. Please do not be late for this payment. Thank you in advance for all your support in keeping our program alive.

Holiday Dance Dress
Pre-k, Kindergarten/1st, 2nd/3rd - black leotard, white tights, (ballet shoes for Pre-k and 2nd/3rd), tap shoes for Kindergarten/1st
4th thru 8th - white or green tops (pullover), black jazz pants, jazz or ballet shoes
High School/Adult - Christmas shirts, black jazz pants, jazz shoes
I have accessories for all the classes to wear.
Holiday Dance Just a Reminder the Holiday Dance will be Tuesday, December 13th. At Fountain Green Elementary at 7pm. Admission will be $2 per person. Raffle money to be turned in. Goodie Social to follow. Have Fun!
Raffle Time We will do our raffle ticket sales starting November 29th and sell through the day of the Holiday Dance. All tickets and money need to be turned in by then. Everyone can take as many raffle tickets as they think they can sell. Please specify what tickets are for a door prize and what is for the 50/50. Name and Phone are all that's needed. You do NOT have to present to win. All tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. DOn't forget we also need figts for dor prizes. Anything is acceptable except alcoholic beverages. I hope everyone will participate for a sucessful holiday.
