Kofta in Tomato Sauce
1 / 2 kilo red minced beef 1 cup washed crushed rice 1 large onion, finely chopped 1 teaspoon crushed garlic 1 bunch finely chopped dill 1 tablespoon cumin, ground Salt + pepper + allspice
Tomato Sauce :
Blend half a kilo of red juicy tomatoes in a blender. Add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste. Melt some ghee or oil and add the mixture. Season and simmer until it thickens.
Method : Mix all ingredients then blend well in an electric meat chopper. Form the kofta into fingers and deep fry them in a mixture of ghee and oil until browned. Remove on kitchen blotting paper. Bring the tomato sauce to boil, then add the fried kofta fingers. Lower the temperature, cover and simmer until it cooks. Serve hot with rice and green salad |
