Jam Biscuits

125 gm sugar 
1 egg 
250 gm flour 
125 gm butter
pinch of salt

Beat the egg and sugar, add the salt and then the flour.
Place on a floured board then add the softened butter and knead the ingredients together then spread them with
         a rolling pin about 1 / 2 cm.
Cut half the amount in rounds and the remaining half in rounds with a hole in the middle [ you can use the lid of a small jar to cut the inner parts, leaving a hole to the biscuit. See photo ]
Bake for 20 minutes in preheated oven.
When the biscuits are cold, spread the round biscuits with jam and cover them with  the ones with holes in them.
