Ginger Snaps

1 / 2 cup fat 
1 / 2 cup molasses 
1 / 2 teaspoon soda 
1 / 4 teaspoon cinnamon 
1 / 2 cup sugar 
1 / 4 water 
1 / 2 to 1 teaspoon ginger 
About  2  1 / 4 cup flour

Mix like other cookies or butter cakes, adding enough flour to make a stiff dough.
Roll thin on a slightly floured board, cut with cooky cutter.
Place on greased pans and bake in moderately hot oven [ 400 F ] for about 10 minutes
