Crisps
1 cup butter 2 cups sugar Grated rind and juice of 1 lemon 3 eggs [ 2 eggs and 1 yolk ] Flour to knead
Cream butter, add sugar gradually then the rind of one lemon and juice. Add yolks well beaten, then beaten whites. Add flour enough to knead. Roll as thin as possible. Brush with egg whites, dust with granulated sugar before baking. These cakes may be decorated with cherries, almonds, citron, etc., cut in small pieces |
