Coffee and Walnut Shortbread

2 cups plain flour 
1 cup cornflour
2 tablespoons coffee powder 
30 walnut halves 
1 cup sugar 250 gm softened butter [ left long enough at room temperature]

Place butter and sugar into a large bowl.
Beat together with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Sift flours and coffee together. Stir into creamed mixture to form a soft dough.
Form dough into small rounds.
Arrange on lightly grease baking trays, leaving room for biscuits to spread.
Slightly flatten biscuits. Prick vertically with a fork, to make a few holes on top.
Top with walnuts.
Bake in  a preheated slow oven [ 160 Degrees C ]  for 20 minutes or until goldened.
Serve with coffee
