This is an old picture of me (from 1992) doing a bit of archaeological survey just south of the town of Cachi located in the CalchaquÍ Valley, Salta, Argentina.
Here is a more recent picture of me.

I have finally graduated from UNLV with a M.S. degree in Biological Sciences .  I have not yet seen the concluding piece of paper (i.e. diploma), but am hoping that it is in the mail.

Since grade school I have been interested in the disciplines of archaeology and human interactions with their environment.&nsbp; These areas of study have come together in my current job at TRC where I am involved in both archaeological and environmental projects.

My undergraduate years were spent at the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis/St. Paul) where I got my B.A. in Anthropology.  While there, I was offered a fantastic research opportunity in Argentina, South America.  This experience eventually developed into my thesis project:  Identifying Wood from Prehispanic Archaeological Contexts in Andean ArgentinaDr. Christine Hastorf was my mentor and advisor on this project.

 My Albuquerque family.
