Caring For Your Fine Art
Dust your paintings when needed, but use a soft sable brush.  A cloth can snag on and chip the paint.

Never spray glass or acrylic framed artwork directly with cleaner.  The liquid can run down, seep inside the frame and damage the artwork or matting.

Spray the cloth with cleaner, only to the point of dampness.  Dry the glass or acrylic with a soft cloth.

When handling your artwork,  always lift the artwork from the top and bottom of the frame or on the sides.  Lifting only from the top can cause the frame to pull apart.
Too much or too little heat can damage your art.  Avoid hanging artwork in direct or reflected sunlight or under florescent lighting.  Heat and light accelerate fading and discoloration.

Air should be allowed to circulate behind a picture.  Use spacers on the lower corners of the frame.

Bathrooms and kitchens are hard on artwork.  50% humidity and a consistent 70 degrees Fahrenheit is the ideal environment.

Dust the back of the artwork and occasionally check the hardware and wire for stability.
