OK, OK, the truck is not coming back, yet  I bought a '94 Z-71 shortbed and have no need for the 79 any more.  As much as I would like to keep it I have no time to work on it.  I have seemed to devoted most of my free time to this thing.  I am still trying to work some of the bugs out of the 350 since it was put in.  It leaks a little oil from the back of the oil pan which all you Nova guys know is tough to fix without unbolting the motor and lifting it out a little.  Next week at Maple Grove(Oct 21)it will take it's first trip down the track with the new mill in it.  Predicted ETs should be somewhere in the range of 14.500.  Give or take of course.
UPDATE:  I was close with my prediction.  See the times above.  I would have been able to run close to 14 flat if it weren't for some major tirespin on the starting line.  Also when the car shifted into 2 gear it spun the tire again.  The next thing for next year will be a posi rear and a pair of slicks for the track.
UPDATE:  The car now has a B&M Megashifter and smokes the tires even better courtesy of an ATI 3500 RPM stall converter.  Now I need an engine that will rev more and love doing it.  Enter the 283!
