The Michael Shanks Shrine

Michael Garret Shanks was born on the 15 December 1970 in Vancouver, British Columbia. There he grew up with his two brothers, and go to college to finish a bachelor of arts degree in Fine Arts. Michael has acted in many TV shows and a few movies. He has been in: The Highlander, The Commish, The Outer Limits, Escape from Mars, Call of the Wild and of course the series Stargate SG-1. Not only does Michael act but he has said to have directed a few episodes of Stargate SG-1.
Michael was studying business when came across the set of Richard Dean Anderson's MacGyver. He was struck at how professional it all was and his career soon followed.
But out side the sets he also has been in many Shakespear Theatre procuctions such as Hamlet. And besides his acting passion, Michael likes to windsurf, ski, rollerblade and play ice hockey.
