This is my 1970 C10. This is what it looked like while I drove it. 355ci/NP435 (4speed) and 4.10 posi. The truck was fun to drive and was extremely stable and easy to control. Between the torquey engine and super stiff rear leafs traction was an issue. Did not bother me as it taught me how to drive a vehicle beyond the tires limits around corners. Long smokey four wheel drift? You bet! Top speed was P in MPH on the speedo (est 120mph). With the wide tires and raked stance the truck was VERY stable at speed. I ran out of HP and could not push the truck any faster. |

After driving it for 2yrs I parked it with enough $$$ and time to do a frame off. I tucked it in my shop and started at it. After hurting my back and being laid up for 2 years I no longer had any money at all. 2 more years, a diversion known as a camaro later, and this is where my baby currently resides. Pretty sad. A 20x8' sea-can in the back of my grandfathers lot with no hope in sight. To make things worse, I have been distracted yet again by a car called a Cheetah (60s sports car) |

The Future |

Having been bitten by the cornering bug, I now require vehicles to be able to go around corners fast. Problem is, my baby is an overweight, oversized monster (at least compared to a sports car). So the simple solution is to make it corner as well as possible, then have massive power to make it catch up on the straights. To do this I intend a spaceframe chassis, fibreglass front end and bed, a 540ci, 5 or 6spd, and keep the 4.10 rear. The specifics have not been planned yet. Unfortionaly I have planned, and intend to built a Cheetah before the truck so the poor beast will likely sit tucked away in the container for a while. |
