Match Report: In a match mostly played in pouring rain, Chevening emerged victorious in the end. Andy Black (75*) and Mark Challis (36*) opened the innings and stayed at the crease until heavy rain brought an abrupt end to Chevening's innings. In order to fashion a result it was decided that Gills Green would have 25 overs to score the 122 required for victory. Chevening got off to the best start possible when their opening batsman was caught at mid-on first ball of the innings. Chevening looked in trouble when the other opener reached his half-century from just 11 overs, but good bowling and spectacular catching meant that Chevening won the match by 31 runs. Paul Blake, Simon Baldwin and David Franklin took three wickets apiece.
