Even in more demand than the Super Sport were the factory dealership altered vehichles! These are rare due too the quantity produced. None of the 323 COPO Chevelles in 1969 were SS's. COPO- stands for Central Office Production Order. All COPO's came with dealer prepped 427's. The COPO Chevelle's were away of getting around the 400 ci ban in 1969. In 1970 the ban was lifted! The COPO's looks didn't stand out much, however Don Yenko ordered 99 of them! The Yenko's had special side stripes and badges and really stood out. They are worth a tremendous amount of money now and most you will see at carshows are clones(Tribute Cars).                Read more about COPO here.
